The LTL Volume Specialist role at Arrive Logistics gives you the opportunity to get in and make an impact on a lean team! This position would be the point person for the Chicago office for all LTL/Partial needs. The Specialist would be responsible for quoting, tracking, booking, as well as helping with penetrating customer accounts.

Essential Functions:

  • Will quote and book all LTL/Volume and Partial loads for the Chicago Office 
  • Tracking loads through full load cycle 
  • Handle any rate discrepancies 
  • Work with LTL operations to ensure proper load coverage 
  • Develop and increase more partial carriers/capacity by expanding a network in each region
  • Develop a network of local cartage agents for final mile in all regions 
  • Assist in educating the sales floor on LTL, Volume, and Partials 
  • Increase amount of Volume loads to target numbers by the end of 2021 
  • Assist in bids that include volume options 

Education and/or Experience:

  • 3-5 years in LTL or Partials
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Strong communication skills, as the candidate will be interfacing with many different parties each day
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Building future success through a hands-on approach
When it comes to Seiji Osawa’s journey at Arrive, one factor has continuously fueled his growth: transparency. “At every point in my career, I was given the opportunity to expand my comfort zone and innovate new initiatives,” he said. By learning from his manager what it meant to build client relationships through boots-on-the-ground fundamentals, Osawa has been able to teach those same essential hands-on skills as he has risen through the ranks. “That is why I am in the seat I am today, to build a framework for teams that can elevate Arrive to its next billion, and beyond!”

Charting the course to innovation
Ashley Menger is working on building a journey map of all of the people, software and business processes from lead generation to payment. “It’s a map I wish I had when I started — I slowly gained this information over time, but needed a way to pass it on to my team,” she said. Being able to better identify efficiencies in their data grants her department the additional time to host an annual Hack Week, where employees stop all sprint work and tackle projects that will impact workflow. “The more we know about current and future strategy, the more our designs can deliver in the present.”

We support a shadowing program where any designer can spend an hour per week with someone in our logistics operations, watching how they use the software and learning more about their daily tasks.
