Overview
Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of Lien Release/Satisfaction of Mortgage documents; in accordance with State, Federal and local regulations. Also responsible for preparing Partial Releases, Deed Corrections, and Subordinations based on Investor's guidelines.
Job Description

  • Complete monthly reconciliation and analysis to identify accounts where PNMAC needs to issue Recording Fee Overcharge refund checks. This occurs when our vendor (NTC) receives lower charges than expected for the recording of the customer's Lien Release documents and is a compliance requirement.
  • Research, locate and prepare collateral document files and all recorded instruments from the custodian or outsourcing provider to ensure completion of the lien release within specific state requirements.
  • Monitors and applies state specific requirements when working on the Out of Compliance files from the vendor's daily reporting. This task requires subject matter expertise to complete research on complex items, including knowledge and understanding of loan document types and additional options to locate them.
  • Analyze impact of legal documents received from counties, cities, attorneys and from other financial instructions. This analysis determines the prioritization within the team's workflow and requires broad knowledge of mortgage servicing, and subject matter expertise of loan document types.
  • Assures that all Powers of Attorneys are updated and available for recording.
  • Adheres accurately to current policy and procedure guidelines for issuance of Lien Release Refunds. These are completed in accordance to the department's service level requirements, as well as, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Completes all assigned reports as required in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Actively participates in the maintenance of department policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions within set policies/procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal/human relations skills.
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
