The Leasing Operations Specialist will primarily manage and execute the Verification Process. The Leasing Operations Specialist will also assist the Leasing Operations team as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leasing Operations inbox – monitoring of the shared Leasing Operations inbox to ensure that all incoming communications are tagged appropriately and all communications for Verifications, Compliance Investigation, and Application Irregularity tickets are addressed within assigned SLA’s

Secondary Review Verification Process

  • Generate daily reports using Yardi and SafeRent systems to identify all applicants who have been screened and returned a result which require a Secondary Review
  • Obtain required documents for Secondary Review process by contacting applicants by email (1st Attempt) and phone (2nd Attempt) and documenting all actions on the applicant’s page in Yardi
  • Coordinate with Leasing teams to obtain documents
  • Customer service for Leasing teams and applicants
  • Verify validity of documents and complete any verbal verifications as required
  • Distribution of completed daily report
  • Reporting as required for KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Management of templates and communication matrix

Manual Verification Process

  • Generate daily reports using Yardi to identify all applicants who require a Manual Verification prior to being screened
  • Obtain required documents for Manual Verification process by contacting applicants by email (1st Attempt) and phone (2nd Attempt) and documenting all actions on the applicant’s page in Yardi
  • Coordinate with Leasing teams to obtain documents
  • Customer service for Leasing teams and applicants
  • Verify validity of documents and complete any verbal verifications as required
  • Distribution of completed daily report
  • Reporting as required for KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Management of templates and communication matrix

Application Irregularity Process

  • Responding to JIRA tickets created by Leasing Agents to verify validity of applicant identity and proof of income documents within assigned SLA’s
  • Continuing education/training of fraudster techniques and methods
  • Management of Main Street Renewal Fraud/Do Not Lease list
  • Responding to Compliance investigation requests with assigned SLA’s

Additional Responsibilities for Leasing Operations as needed:

  • Training as required by Leasing Operations management, Compliance, and HR
  • Participation in team meetings as led by Leasing Operations management
  • Assistance as required by Leasing Operations management which may involve cross training for team support

Supervision Received:

The Leasing Operations Specialist will be regularly supervised and will report to Leasing Operations Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

REQUIRED:

  • High School Graduate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe
  • Ability to perform repetitive work in diligent manner
  • Detail oriented
  • Professional written and communication skills

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with Yardi preferred

SEDENTARY - Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
