As a Learning Manager within the Advisor Services Employee Service Onboarding and Training Team, our mission is to ready and advance the performance of both new and tenured employees to deliver world class service to our Advisors through job training and business model evolution enablement in support of the AS Service Vision.

What you are good at
This role will be responsible for interacting with cross-site teams, internal stakeholders, technology partners, as well as Business Partners and Leaders across the organization to deliver structured high performance learning journeys that provides the knowledge and skills practice to new and tenured employees across all roles within Service and Workforce Solutions (WST Ops), including new to role training, up-skilling and promotional training based on the AS business strategy and service professional objectives. Delivery takes place via different methods such as in person and/or virtually. To effectively drive learning strategies, this role is also responsible for managing projects and adherence to quality standards and project deliverables. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Participate in all phases of the learning process: define objectives, deliver, deploy for performance, and document results
  • Stay continuously educated on Advisor Services policy, procedure, and technology changes to align and support training program and initiatives
  • Maintain a strong line of communication with business partners, subject matter experts, AS Leadership to ensure that training information is accurate and relevant to the target audience
  • Anticipate potential risk issues pertaining to all facets of program delivery while presenting and implementing proactive and creative solutions
  • Participate in the review process for content development, tracking, and filing that meets compliance and audit requirements
  • Define and report out metrics that assess learning effectiveness and/or opportunities to leadership
  • Provide creative ideas and solutions that will benefit the business and enhance the strategic direction of the training experience
  • Work closely with content creation team on all Advisor Services Training to ensure learning objectives are met through delivery



What you have

  • In-depth knowledge of the Advisor Services and the ACT organization processes and procedures with the expertise to navigate Schwab systems and operations workflow solutions
  • Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with leadership and team members
  • Expertise in facilitating and presenting formal training to a variety of audiences and methods such as in person and/or virtually
  • Proficiency to anticipate and resolve problems under your own initiative while also working in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to embrace, pivot and shift focus based on changing priorities and/or the business environment and champion innovative ideas
  • Professionalism, positivity and strong work ethic with a high level of integrity and teamwork
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with WebEx, MyTraining, iKnow Sharepoint
  • Minimum of 3 years in Advisor Services preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Positive attitude, strong team orientation, passion for developing others and strong work ethic
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple competing priorities within established timeframes
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of the AS business.
