Job Purpose:

The Learning & Development Team Lead role will be responsible for developing a world class enterprise Cybersecurity Awareness and Learning Program. The incumbent would provide guidance on researching and implementing industry best training practices, establishing sustainable processes for onboarding, offboarding and re-certifying IT professionals in various job roles related to cybersecurity. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify training required and develop concepts and solutions for cybersecurity training for defined roles based on operational issues, customer needs, risks and impact, and industry trends.

Description:

This position reports to an IT Supervisor/Manager.  Responsibilities of the incumbents are working under Awareness and Learning team within Cybersecurity division in Global Information systems (GIS) department. 

  • Set priorities and establish a work plan with clear communication and proper assignments and expected results for the team per the defined program objectives.
  • Understand the internal or customers’ learning requirements and objectives and develop solutions to satisfy the learning needs and minimize the cybersecurity risks at the same time.
  • Cultivate the relationship and maintain close liaison with customers to assure business needs and perception of value are met, and develop standard practices for the execution of business processes across functional organizations including expectation for exceptions to the standard processes.
  • Help dive a culture of secure behaviors through enterprise required learning and targeted learning development
  • Rally the team to turn challenges into opportunities and gain support from the leadership team.
  • Capable to adapt to diverse business climates by managing the planning sessions effectively, leading the team in brainstorming sessions, and keeping the team focused on the objectives.
  • Be well-informed of the industry best practice and mature Caterpillar cybersecurity learning and development program through bench marking and continuous improvement.
  • Participate and provide guidance in business initiative projects that are related to cybersecurity learning and development and be able to articulate cybersecurity risks and impact if inadequate training is provided.
  • Gather feedback and compile lessons learned for improvement of future projects internal or external
  • Cultivate team development by making sure everyone’s opinion and input is heard.
  • Articulate "Business Case Analysis" to justify customer investments in project development and/or system support efforts, including marketing the system solution and its benefits to prospective custom.

Basic Requirements:

  • Requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Seven to ten years of progressively responsible job-related experience in multiple business units.
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Teams O365 tools and excellent skills with PowerPoint and Excel.

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • Strong oral and written communication as well as strong interpersonal skills are desired.
  • Knowledge for Caterpillar policies and procedures and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s organization is preferred.
  • Experience or certification in cybersecurity is a plus.
