Job Purpose:

The Learning & Development Program Manager will be responsible for assisting in developing a world class enterprise Cybersecurity awareness and learning program. This will include researching and implementing industry best practices, establishing sustainable processes for onboarding, offboarding and re-certifying IT professionals and ensuring organizational change management practices are considered to successfully drive a culture of secure behaviors.

Description:

This position reports to an IT Supervisor/Manager.  Responsibilities of the incumbents are working under Awareness and Learning team within Cybersecurity division in Global Information systems (GIS) department. 

  • Be able to Manage cybersecurity related projects assignments, normally more complex aspects of systems work without close supervision, identifying complex application/technical problems and resolutions.
  • Be able to manage learning program related projects through matrix teams across the enterprise.
  • Be able to support for both internal and external customers learning through the available learning systems.
  • Be able to define, design, and develop training materials, technical/troubleshooting manuals, and user guides using available platforms and tools.
  • Be able to convert the content to learning courses in different format required (e.g. SCORM files, etc.); be comfortable with authoring tools, such as ‘Articulate’, ‘Captivate’, etc.
  • Be able to work with subject matter experts and develop instructional materials that satisfy the training needs and offer a high-quality and enjoyable classroom or e-learning experience.
  • Design evaluations and learner knowledge assessments for courses as well as instructors and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Deep knowledge in available corporate learning tools and vendors as well as their capabilities Identify, explore, and onboard vendors / offerings to supplement internal Learning & Development resources including compliance with cybersecurity.
  • Provide application and learning technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members; be able to tackle the learning challenge with well-researched material, evidence, and suggested solutions.
  • When applicable, design and develop the end to end pilot and UAT test plan thoroughly with expected results by working with the learning managers, subject matter experts and technical support teams.
  • Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that require careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results; assists customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts

Basic Requirements:

  • Requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Six to eight years of progressively responsible job-related experience in managing learning and development programs.
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Teams O365 tools and excellent skills with PowerPoint and Excel.

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • Strong oral and written communication as well as strong interpersonal skills are desired.
  • Knowledge for Caterpillar policies and procedures and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s organization is preferred.
  • Experience or certification in cybersecurity is a plus.
