About the Role:
The Sr. Server Engineer is an Austin, TX-based role responsible for maintenance and support of the servers, storage and applications that make up Epicor's private cloud.
What You'll Do:

• Assist in troubleshooting server and application issues. You will be leading critical outage calls.
• Assist in management of physical and virtualized servers.
• Perform rack/stack/cabling in Epicor's Austin data center.
• Use scripting technologies to complete tasks in a timely and repeatable fashion.
• Work with vendors to architect and implement solutions.
• Manage user and computer access to Active Directory using various authentication technologies.
• Clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks in order to leverage Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance.

What You Need to Succeed:

• 5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
• Demonstrated history of leading projects (please give examples)
• Required experience in the following technologies:
  • Data Center tasks (rack new gear, run cabling, repair servers, etc)
  • VMWare vSphere ESXi
  • Windows Server
• Bonus points for exposure to one or more of the following technologies:
  • Nutanix
  • Disaster Recovery strategies for VMWare
  • Application virtualization (e.g., Citrix)
  • Brocade fiber channel and SAN infrastructures
  • Office 365
