Job Summary

The Cybersecurity Operations Lead serves a critical role responsible for threat detection and incident response.

This role is responsible for the services that provide the operational support for the OneAmerica Cybersecurity program.

This role will be the practice leader mentoring team members as well as an active participant driving objectives to completion.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Cybersecurity incident response and threat hunting
  • Lead Cybersecurity incident investigations and drive maintenance of mitigation and containment playbooks
  • Provide critical thinking about corporate strategy and risk landscape
  • Strong collaborator across many IT and business teams at varying levels to effectively communicate security objectives
  • Assess risk associated with security vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation activities
  • Provide thought leadership and guide Cybersecurity Operations Team with developing and improving security event detection and response
  • Experience with cybersecurity technologies including Security Information & Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Data Loss Prevention
  • Critical thinker and problem solver


Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • Required Certifications: CISSP


Recommended Education and/or Certifications

  • Possess degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Security or equivalent
  • Preferred Certifications: GCIH, GPEN, OSCP


Required Work Experience

  • 10+ Years of experience in Information Security/Technology
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in cybersecurity operations
  • Experience with implementing risk management program.
  • Prior experience in the financial services environment preferred.
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background


Salary Band: 07C

As a condition of employment, OneAmerica requires that all new hires who receive a job offer on or after April 18, 2022 provide evidence of full or partial vaccination against COVID-19 within three days of accepting an offer letter with OneAmerica and before employment begins. This selected candidate will be expected to work Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in IN as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
