Knowledge Management Expert
Position Description
Do you have experience in knowledge management? Are you adept at communicating complex information? Serco is looking for a Knowledge Management Specialist with those qualifications to support the Department of the Navy's Office of the Chief Management Officer (OCMO). Your role would be to take part in the OCMO's supporting the Business Performance to Drive Outcomes (BPDO) effort, and as such you will be part of a team that is on the leading edge of helping the Navy transition to data-driven decision-making.
Your role on this team ensures that raw data can be translated into comprehensible information and you will often help communicate both within and external to the organization through documentation, presentation, and management of content. You will be responsible for a wide variety of activities related to identifying, managing, packaging, and disseminating key information to advance technical practice and provide team members and stakeholders with the knowledge and tools that they need to perform.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An active Secret clearance
- A Bachelor's Degree
- 5 (five) years of experience in knowledge management (KM) minimum
- Extensive experience and proficiency in MS Sharepoint
- Experience gathering requirements for KM systems as well as designing, developing, and maintaining KM systems for multiple user
- Experienced in providing user training on KM systems
- Experienced at integrating metrics pulled from the KM system into a dashboard based on gathered requirements
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Expert ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with all levels of staff and clients
- Ability to work independently or with limited supervision; demonstrated collaborative working skills in a team
- Possess critical thinking, problem solving, and initiative/proactive skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard office programs and tools such as MS Office Suite
