IT Support Manager

This product and the platform it operates on is a complex and feature-rich distributed data system which we offer as a multi-cloud SaaS solution to our clients.
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager for our growing NewYork City office. You will play a critical role both for our NYC office-based employees and in helping to support our remote employees.
You are someone who asks questions, is confident in not knowing everything, and is excited about learning something new and applying that knowledge to help your colleagues. You are crisp and detail oriented, but able to work outside of the boundaries when necessary. On top of your proven history of success as an IT Manager, you have a passion for technology and, like us, you are excited to come to work and help our company grow.
Responsibilities
- Implement IT best practices and align ActionIQs IT infrastructure with current and future business goals
- Scale up and manage the IT team to meet the needs of our growing company, while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
- Ensure our NYC office is fully equipped and operational by assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware and finding innovative solutions to IT challenges
- Optimise our IT programs to provide a positive experience for in-office and remote employees including testing, troubleshooting and adjusting as needed.
- Oversee the IT component of our onboarding and offboarding processes, collaborating closely with the People team
- Maintain consistent application of IT controls throughout the organization, assuring compliance with applicable laws, codes and regulations
- Evaluate risk, develop and implement network recovery and backup processes, and aid in the performance of disaster recovery exercises
What you bring to ActionIQ:
- 5+ years of IT experience, including 1+ year experience as a people manager
- Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Information Security or equivalent work experience
- Google IT support, CompTIA +, CompTIA IT Fundamentals + (ITF+), AWS, or similar certifications are preferred
- Expertise in defining IT scope, workflow and processes
- Experience implementing CIS Benchmarks (AWS, Linux, Windows, MacOS)
- Experience in managing both internal VPNs and Networks
- Experience assessing business risk associated with IT systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to tactfully communicate and achieve results across team boundaries
- An enthusiasm for driving continuous improvements through leadership, collaboration, and initiative
