JOB SUMMARY: This IT Specialist position is a great opportunity for recent college graduates or those with 1-2 years' experience; based from either Lockton's St. Louis, MO or Chicago, IL office. Under general supervision, provides technical phone support, problem resolution and on-site technical support of information technology for all Midwest Series offices (Chicago, Cleveland, Memphis, Milwaukee, Nashville, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis). Able to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of moderately complex virtual desktop environment (Citrix), minor server systems (Microsoft), minor Ethernet & wireless networking, mobile computing (tablets & smartphones), and business software. Provide clients overview of Lockton technologies and assist with implementation. Create and lead training sessions for Lockton Associates as well as articles for internal Workplace postings and intranet site. Generally responsible for handling or coordinating all Information Technology requirements at the desktop. Above all else, provide a great customer service experience to all encountered on the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Provides exceptional customer service and IT technical support to Lockton users and some Lockton clients.
• Assists Lockton Associates in operation of computers, mobile computing (tablets & smartphones), peripherals and software applications.
• Documents and completes incoming requests and routes tickets to appropriate Information Technology staff when required.
• Hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Software troubleshooting, installation, and configuration
• Perform Nexsure, WebEx, ShareFile, Salesforce, ImageRight, Partner Portal, SpaceIQ, Sysaid, etc. system administration functions.
• Moves, adds, and changes to desktop and network equipment.
• Performs user account setups to include phone system additions in Microsoft Active Directory and Avaya, respectively.
• Complete proper steps to deactivate a user and their account when no longer employed by Lockton.
• Provide basic administration on Microsoft Windows File, Print & RightFax servers.
• Provides consulting and training as needed for IT systems and services.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Minimum one year experience in support of computer hardware and software related areas with emphasis on workstations, mobile computing (tablets & smartphones) networking, client/server, problem analysis, and diagnostic techniques.
• Strong project management, time management, initiative, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
• Overtime, off-shift support, and some travel required.
