To continue on this mission, we are looking for an IT Specialist to join our Internal IT team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in IT initiatives and collaborations with various technical staff.
• Get involved in initial discussions with the University IT department POC and present our IT requirements for the hub space.
• Support the designing, implementing and company IT systems and networks, ensuring the most effective architecture and functionality.
• Train and support users in both new and existing IT systems. Write easy to follow instructions and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide assistance with technical issues, as needed.
• Constantly revise existing systems and suggest improvements.
• Produce concise yet thorough reports within IT and for other teams as needed.
• Create new and update existing documentation about IT processes used in Starship.
• Support, train, guide and substitute employees as determined by Employer within the limits of the Employee’s liability and competence.
• Other responsibilities in accordance with instructions from the Employer.
• Responsibilities that apply to all other employees at Starship Technologies with people responsibility include people hiring, onboarding, retention, development, salary review, offboarding and similar.

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

• 3+ years experience working in Internal IT.
• Experience and good working knowledge of Windows, Mac, Linux, IOS and Android.
• Experience with computer and network security, network and systems administration, and account and accesses management.
• Experience in working with IT service desk system and following ITIL standards.
• Experience with various SaaS tools.
• Great communication skills and you like working with people.
• A positive can-do attitude and ability to independently make decisions and manage projects.
• Experience with Okta is a plus.
• Previous experience working in a startup IT environment is a plus.
