The IT Team is responsible for the Corporate tools and technology that is required for the company to operate effectively and efficiently. We are a growing IT department that plays an integral role in the company’s ability to perform their day-to-day tasks. While supporting an ever growing number of users with top tier tools and applications, our IT team is always aiming to achieve the highest goals and produce the best experience possible for our end users.


Coursera is looking for a capable, motivated IT ServiceNow Administrator to take point in all aspects of ServiceNow administration and development. While working closely with developers and engineers the SalesForce Administrators responsibility would be to keep the system running smoothly while continuously working on upgrades and enhancements.


This position will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow environment and will be able to assist in basic configuration tasks while planning and working with developers to implement more complex system changes. This role will be the connection point between the business needs and the IT team to ensure both sides are satisfied with the ServiceDesk experience. This is a very hands-on-position and applications should have significant experience working in ServiceNow while being able to plan and architect business solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide and manage the strategic implementation of ServiceNow’s robust library of tools and features while achieving best practices
  • Providing technical and business evaluations of new applications and changes to existing environment, translating demands into product
  • Work hand-to-hand with developers to scale the instance in terms of performance, availability, and optimization
  • Maintain a current environment with regular updates and future planning
  • Research and recommend potential enhancements to the existing environment while also gathering stakeholder feedback in order to continuously improve the platform
  • Define solutions across the platform that align with the out of the box capabilities and maintain proper documentation

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in ServiceNow implementations and configurations with experience in system design, analysis, development and implementation
  • Knowledgeable on ServiceNow glide layer and wrappers built on top of it.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and basic understanding of programming languages
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems and ITSM core configuration in ServiceNow
  • Working experience with API’s, JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS/SASS, REST web services, and responsive web design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certifications such as ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator. Completed: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ITSM ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist
  • Basic development experience
  • Very high attention to detail and strong problem solving abilities with excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of SSO and IDP’s
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams/projects across an organization
  • Familiarity with 3rd party integrations and MDM systems
