We are seeking a driven IT Applications Operations Owner to enable our development teams in delivering scalable, distributed software systems that require high availability to support critical business functions. In collaboration with architecture, engineering, ops, and security teams, you will manage the software quality & release process within the Digital Customer Experience Technologies and Platforms portfolio and work on continuously improving the software engineering delivery process including 3rd party security and software upgrades and patches.
As the Senior IT Application Ops Engineering lead, you will enable development teams to build progressive and high-impact customer-facing web applications to elevate the portfolio line of business. You will be responsible for creating custom features for application tools with our customer-enhancing experience technologies, and deploying and managing the quality assurance & release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.

What's needed in order to do that:

• Forward Plan Prologis release windows and cycles across the portfolio
• Manage risks, and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
• Participate in requirements management, including requirements for testability and automation
• Manage - Plan, Budget and Tasks related to all customer experience growth tools
• Anticipate release issues, take corrective actions, and manage escalations to achieve commitments
• Define, Measure, monitor progress and report on QA goals and objectives & Release Management metrics to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and of high quality
• Communicate all key release plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
• Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations and 3rd party SaaS solutions
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
• Create, Own and version control Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
• Improve QA practices and processes in the portfolio by creating and maintaining documentation, QA templates, and other related artifacts
• Manage test automation roadmap and framework for the entire portfolio throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide QA & Release Management reporting on a weekly or monthly basis to Executive and Senior Management
• Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
• Work with development engineers and leads to understand impacts of branches and code merges
• Maintains the release calendar and schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
• Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
• Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
• Work closely with Development teams in development of scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
• Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope, risks, mitigations
• Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification list

• Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience; Minimum of 3 years as a technical lead or engineering leader.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Mathematics preferred.
• Work experience with customer-centric applications in eCommerce, direct internal employee application & support tools at scale is desired
• 2-6 years of the previous release and/or project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)
• 'Make-it-happen' demeanor, the innate capacity for ownership and timely delivery of results in a fast-paced environment.
• Formal training in project management practices preferred, with the ability to work in hybrid waterfall/agile methodologies
• Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle, agile product management, and tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello is a desired
• Knowledge of Software testing tools
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
• Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Excellent technical communication skills and collaborating with multi-functional business partners.
