Job Description
As an IT Operations, Analyst, you will be involved in 24*7 Application L1/L2 production support in an onshore-offshore model and is assigned to receive, analyze and identify solutions for all types of priority production issues/tickets. The IT Operations, Analyst will be acting as a primary technical go to resource and will provide on-call support in 24*7 environment including non-business hours as needed. This position requires hands-on technical experience including coding experience. The IT Operations, Analyst reports to Manager/Advisor and position is responsible for supporting the production support team and their work assignments, service levels, design & execute process improvements.
Additional Responsibilities of the IT Operations, Analyst (but not limited to):• Undertake tasks as needed to allow the production support Manager/Advisor to focus on the overall service improvements• Identifying remediation tasks and implementing solutions to reduce number of production incidents• Interaction with business users for requirement clarification• Root cause analysis & Resolution of incidents• Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements to ensure SLA's are met.• Providing workaround solution of production batch issues to meet SLAs/OLAs• Assigning tickets to team members• Track break-fixes and verification of implementations• Process improvement to improve system stability and performance.• Ensuring compliance with corporate standards, policies and regulations (SOX, PHI, and PII etc).• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas.
Required Qualifications• 3+ years of experience in Production support/maintenance in an onshore-offshore model environment• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Mainframe• 3-5+ years of experience with JCL, COBOL & VSAM

Preferred Qualifications• Experience with the following programming Languages: COBOL, JCL, EZT ( CICS and REXX),• Experience with the following tools: Expeditor, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, SCLM• Experience with the following databases: File- Physical Sequential, VSAM• Experience with the following utilities: DFSORT, ICETOOL• Experience in Retail/Pharmacy area• Experience with Mainframe production support• Experienced with scheduling tools (Control M ), ticketing systems (service now)• Experience in control-M, System ware, Unix, Informatica, Oracle, SAP• Experience in ITIL process
Education• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related field
