About the job
The Red Hat Business Unit is looking for an IT Manager, IT Consulting Services to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the IT team in supporting the Red Hat Services and Consulting community by initiating, leading, delivering, and managing cross-functional projects ranging from large transformation initiatives and custom solutions to cloud offerings utilizing Salesforce (SFDC) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) architecture.
What you will do

  • Lead a technology team in the business applications domain, including leading and managing global technology teams consisting of software developers, business systems analysts, quality engineers, and support analysts to ensure that Red Hats global services and consulting systems are implemented, properly maintained, supported, and secure
  • Provide technical direction for the development, design, implementation, and systems integration across multiple customer engagements from definition phase to implementation
  • Design, create, and implement software modifications and enhancements, as well as integrate new applications to Red Hats existing FinancialForce PSA platform to empower the sales and services teams to collaborate around a single customer record so anyone can answer a customer question, give status updates on projects, and know where billing stands
  • Create technical requirements for developers and provide suggestions during the development stage that meet customer's business needs
  • Participate in the analysis, testing, and deployment of changes to FinancialForce PSA as well as third-party integrated systems and assist business analysts in the creation of scripts to be utilized during the user acceptance testing (UAT) process
  • Initiate, plan, implement, and close all project deliverables as committed
  • Monitor new FinancialForce PSA release features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements, and advise on the suitability and adaptability to the existing Red Hat FinancialForce PSA implementation
  • Monitor the new FinancialForce PSA and serve as the primary point of contact for FinancialForce PSA system and perform functional and second level technical support, and create and maintain documentation of key artifacts, processes, and system functionality and tools using agile scrum methodologies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including business, IT, and project teams to produce requirements and design for business and technical capabilities that align to Red Hats services business and technology strategies, and identify the interaction between data and operational processes to provide insights for improvement and solutions to complex problems
  • Communicate and collaborate with key business stakeholders on the associated business impacts of system and data changes to develop and enhance relationships


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 8+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • 8+ years of experience working as part of an IT agile team
  • 5+ years of experience with SFDC or FinancialForce configuration and administration
  • 3+ years of experience with: Apttus CPQ, Apttus CLM, Apttus Billing Management, Apttus Rebates Management, and X-Author for Excel; Salesforce, Apptus, and Financial Force Professional Services technology; large, global implementations using either FinancialForce PSA or SFDC Sales Cloud, service cloud, communities, and custom cloud; working with business partners to define process and configuration requirements for Apttus products, including CPQ, CLM, Billing Management and Rebates Management; configuration capabilities within Salesforce Communities platform; Salesforce Lightning; project integration and build tools including Hudson, Jenkins, and CruiseControl to advance DevOps capabilities; and project management tools, including JIRA, Rally, Hive, and Trello Business Process Modeling Tools including MS Visio, Signavio, and Blueworks Live
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time; travel expenses covered by Red Hat
