Job Posting

American National is seeking an IT Client Support Associate for our Galveston, TX location.Desktop support is the process of providing diagnostic, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair services to a computer or similar device. It allows end users to seek and receive specialized computer maintenance and management services, either locally from their home/office or remotely via the internet. The associate position is the first level of the ECSG job family and will perform basic functions for managing the lifecycle of hardware and software.

Essential Functions

  • Provides basic troubleshooting assistance and ticket resolution for personal computer users.
  • Provides basic triage and support of multifunction and desktop printer technologies.
  • Configures and deploys PCs, laptops, Macs, and hardware accessories to users with efficiency and accuracy, enabling the customer to become productive with little impact.
  • Obtains the ability to apply software patches to PCs and laptops.
  • Provides customer service, including in person, over the phone, or remote support.
  • Communicates well in both written and verbal formats.



Qualifications

  • Associate degree.
  • At least one year of experience.
  • Supervisory/management experience not applicable.
  • Additional qualifications:
    • At least one year of information technology service management or desktop support experience. Preference for those in positions with an emphasis on customer service and support.
    • Demonstrated experience in customer service and support.
    • Proven basic knowledge of personal computers and related peripherals.



Occupational Requirements

Physical effort: The position is physically comfortable and has discretion about walking, standing, sitting, etc.

Independent Judgement: A person in this position performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures, and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.

Preferences/Certifications

  • A+ certification a bonus, but not required.
