Job Overview
The IT Business Partner/ Associate Director IT has the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic interface with assigned business units or functional areas for IQVIA Biotech unit strategy development, solution discovery, risk management and relationship management. The position provides leadership and accountability for key IT initiatives and strategic emerging technology projects that enables our research and development organization to realize their business goals and objectives.

ROLE SUMMARY • Partner with business to develop emerging technology strategy for R&Ds, aligning strategic initiatives to drive business growth, productivity, and quality.• Represent business strategies and priorities to IT and the IT vision to the business for the IQVIA Biotech team within IT.• Apply expertise in business process and technology, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to business problems from the R&DS technology team. This may include areas such as AI, NLP, RPA, OCR, Blockchain, new architecture thinking etc.• Partner with the business and work stream team members to drive out initial ideation through to POC and MVPs and onto fully document business case (including ROI), scope and road map as applicable.• Manage and maintain POC/product/project road map and associated finances.• Co-ordinate with Business, Program/Project Manager and Delivery Lead to ensure correct connections to resourcing and processes followed enable successful execution of delivery by the broader IT delivery teams.• Manage programs and projects as point of contact for the business stakeholders and IQVIA Biotech R&DS IT team.• Manage and co-ordinate the preparation, review and presentation of the status of strategic and project updates for stakeholders and executives.• Support the IQVIA Biotech integration of SMEs into the delivery teams within portfolios towards preservation and enhancement of product and related projects.• Responsible to business leadership for all IT related escalations across their business unit, working with program, product and operations teams and CIO Service Delivery Teams.• Provide support for R&DS IT organizational and program level emerging technology strategy including the support of the IQVIA Biotech IT Governance meetings.• Support Business Analysts as required in the build and collection of detailed requirements through the co-ordination of the relevant SMEs to the right product detailed elaboration sessions.• Work with peers to establish processes and approaches to optimizing the way we work together and with stakeholders.• Support development (review and sign off) of SDLC artifacts as required• Line Management may be required. Manage Staff in accordance with organization's policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approving actions on human resources matters

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Strong combination of program management, business analysis, and business relationship / stakeholder management skills.• Strong emerging technology orientation with a passion for applied technology and knowledge of current and future technology development / trends in area of expertise. Examples can include latest thinking around AI, NLP, RPA, OCR, Blockchain etc.• Knowledge of different architecture platforms from infrastructure to platform to software to micro-services capabilities both on premise and cloud-based.• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodology• Experience with Lean Sigma methods alongside automation capabilities to best determine where a lean business process vs. IT automation capabilities best fits the business need.• Experience providing IT solutions in a clinical environment and detailed knowledge of Clinical Trials preferred.• Relationship builder and collaborator - able to build healthy, solution-oriented relationships with business leaders, IT leaders and other functional departments• Innovative, conceptual thinker that can take complex issues and opportunities and identify the technology enablers and projects to create real world solutions• Resilient and tenacious - won't let issues, complexities and challenges deter them the needed outcomes• Strong communicator and negotiator• Problem solver - motivated act to enable business outcomes• Outcome oriented - using process and projects to drive to predictable results from• Limited travel may be required

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's Degree in Programming, Computer Science or related field• Minimum of ten years of Information Technology or related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.• Experience in leading technology programs across a global matrix environment• Proven experience working with business and technical teams that have developed and delivered innovative technical solutions and /or products
