IT Associate

We are seeking an IT Support individual to join our rapidly growing company and team. This is a mid-level IT position that helps care for our Cape Canaveral Launch facility, supporting the staff and facilities at the location as well as remote staff at other sites.  You will be a jack of all trades, helping with everything that is connected to the network both inside and outside.  You should not be afraid of getting dirty or heights.  This is a hands-on position that may be brought in to help with anything necessary to support the staff and test stands technology.  And on the additional plus side you get to help test rocket engines!

Outcomes and Objectives

Support directly and indirectly teams building a launch facility. You will…

  • Enhance Relativity’s IT team to support our rapid growth across multiple sites, keeping security in mind
  • Ensure up-time on our services and infrastructure throughout at the test site as well as across the company
  • Actively participate in the team’s daily tasking and support requirements.
  • Responsible for documenting and answering tickets addressing system and user issues in a timely and professional manner across the company.
  • Install and maintain all user endpoint devices, and infrastructure managed other IT teams
  • Escalate and track issues cannot be handled internally
  • Train users on basic system and computer functions
  • Create and maintain procedural documents
  • Ensure we continue to implement and follow best practices across our systems and infrastructure to achieve our mission and goals.
  • Literally work with rocket scientists

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong drive to provide excellent customer service and experience, with an awareness of prioritization of tasks, stakeholders, budget, and time.
  • Skills in technical systems, hardware repair, and network management
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise.
  • Ability image, deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop and mobile
  • Familiarity with both PC and other end point computing hardware and software
  • Basic experience in networking, wiring, and knowledge in routing, subnets, VLAN’s and security protocols
  • Writing and editing skills to aid in writing and updating procedural documents and documenting tickets
  • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
  • Basic Windows Server knowledge
  • Experience in managing windows active directory and user access controls
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 support
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work outside in various conditions
  • Comfortable with heights
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, and 3+ years of experience in IT Support
  • Linux, Mac, iOS and Android
  • Knowledge basic cloud administration
  • Familiarity with tools such as SCCM, MDM, Imaging, ServiceNow, Backup systems
  • Experience with Atlassian products administration including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo
  • Launch Pad or Cape experience
