Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for an IT Application Administrator to join our Internal Tools team based in Boston, MA and Dania Beach, FL. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be a part of our growing team. As an Application Administrator, you will be responsible for the supporting the portfolio of applications managed by the Internal Tools Team at Chewy. As the Application Administrator you will apply your knowledge of multiple applications to perform the day-to-day administration, configuration, ongoing maintenance, and support.

JOB DUTIES

  • Perform day-to-day administration of our suite of employee productivity tools (e.g. Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), SharePoint, etc.
  • Triage problems and resolve issues and defects in a timely manor
  • Follow up with team members and stakeholders to ensure full resolution of issues
  • Identify and document best practices and processes
  • Develop and maintain understanding of stakeholder workflows and business needs supported by each application
  • Document technical specifications, runbooks, and other requirements to support each application
  • Work with product managers and developers to identify the scope, requirements, and detailed designs to meet Chewy’s need
  • Design training/launch materials and other knowledge base documents such as How-Tos and FAQs
  • Leverage app configurations to help drive a culture of self-service for our user base
  • Provide on-call support for production applications
  • Plan for and apply required application software patches
  • Provide backup support for Testing/ QA processes
    • Plan, coordinate, test and communicate changes to the application environment with application business owner, ensuring continued operations and successful changes
    • Work with subject matter experts to plan and develop use-case test plans and unit testing as needed
  • Develop deep understanding of applications, supporting infrastructure, and system integrations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2+ years’ experience administrating and supporting multiple application or tools
  • Experience translating user requirements to functional specifications
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining technology to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Able to multitask, plan and measure results, create and analyze data, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Bonus (if applicable):

  • Experience managing Atlassian Applications (Jira & Confluence)
  • ServiceNow Systems Administrator Certification
  • SharePoint Administrator Experience
  • ITIL Certification
