Why we’re hiring

Alloy is in search of an IT Analyst to join in running our growing IT operations, security/compliance, and workplace operations needs. As the Information Technology team at Alloy, our mission is to empower the greater team by providing white-glove technology support, and to positively and actively shape the overall IT experience and strategy of the organization. Our primary goal is to ensure a frictionless experience with technology for Alloy employees. We strive to ensure that all employees have the systems, tools, and knowledge to enable them to do their best work. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys supporting people, with security in mind.

What you’ll be doing

As a part of the IT team, you will serve as the front line for incoming workplace operations (in-office) requests, as well as incoming IT desk-side support service requests, and the employee onboarding workflow, which heavily involves asset management and procurement. You will also have many opportunities to collaborate with other members of the IT team on tasks and projects related to Information Security, Audit, Risk Management, Business Continuity, and a whole lot more.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Alloy’s internal IT function to support end users as efficiently as possible.
  • Establish meaningful relationships with Workplace Operations vendors such as those responsible for electrical and low voltage wiring, appliance maintenance, fire safety, entry/exitway security (locksmith), HVAC, and others.
  • Follow policies and procedures when assisting end-users, to ensure proper handling of requests, making suggestions for improvement when possible.
  • Comfortably participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to handle off-hours Information Security lockouts and incidents.
  • Become familiar with overall IT processes and procedures while finding ways to help with leveling up the performance of the IT team with new ideas and suggestions.
  • Build a strong and meaningful relationship with end-users.
  • Bring a “can do” attitude.

Who we’re looking for

Reporting to the Director of IT, Alloy is looking for a highly autonomous individual who has a sense of ownership, and is able to adapt quickly to new technologies. This individual has the ability to communicate information to a wide range of people, including non-technical folks. Our ideal candidate has the desire to learn and the ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

If you are looking to dive into the IT field, and thrive and find fulfillment in a constantly evolving and highly engaging work environment, this is the role for you. Also, if you are able to work both as a part of a team and independently, and are always thinking of how to provide an outstanding employee experience, you’ll fit very well on Alloy’s IT team.

  • Desire and willingness to learn to support large environments of macOS and Windows devices
  • Ability to patiently troubleshoot issues while helping to educate end users.
  • Growing/up-to-date knowledge about the latest tools and methods for managing similar environments
  • An excellent bedside manner, good written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, deliver results and exceed expectations
  • Proud of the work that you’ve produced and thrive with responsibility
  • Experience with Google Workplace
  • Experience working with Service desk(Jira/Zendesk/ServiceNow)
  • Must be able to work autonomously, as an individual, as well as part of a team

We're a lean team, so your impact will be felt immediately and opportunities for growth are abundant at our scaling company. If this all sounds like a good fit for you, why not join us?
