Job Summary: To monitor, maintain, install, and support networked servers, computer systems, and peripheral equipment; to provide professional-level network support functions; to assist software developers, integration, and test engineers; to maintain an accredited defense lab environment per approved information assurance policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform many duties involving IT functions including, but not limited to, supporting networks, servers, clients, communications, and help desk support.
  • Provides technical support and assistance to software developers; analyzes problems and implements solutions according to guidelines and procedures; performs network and server administrator duties, and assures system stability, accessibility, and proper configuration of assigned technical systems and components.
  • Computer troubleshooting to diagnose system problems; analyzes hardware and software functionality; identifies, locates, resolves, and repairs problems within scope authority.
  • Document problems/issues via IT ticketing system.
  • Review and update processes and procedures, policies, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Periodic scanning of machines (as required by DIACAP, NIST 800-171, or similar security protocols) - review and mitigation of findings.
  • User account management - creation, deletion, and access control
  • Daily audit of system logs



Required Skills:

  • Solving infrastructure technical problems including, but not limited to, operating systems, VMs, switches, firewalls, workstations, and software products.
  • Network administration including, but not limited to, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and ACLs
  • Prioritizing multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
  • Writing and using scripts for system administration.
  • Administration of virtualized environments.
  • Windows and Linux administration
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux systems



Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered a plus:

  • oVirt / RHV
  • VMware
  • Ansible
  • ZFS
  • Containerization
  • Atlassian products administration
  • MCSE and/or Linux certification
  • SIEM (Splunk or equivalent)



Required Education/Experience:

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or information technology from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of work experience including network administration preferred.
  • Security+ certification required.



Other Requirements: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.

Position requires COVID 19 full vaccination or willingness to test as required by the customer; testing is at the cost of the individual.
