Who You Are:
Our team is on the front-line of the home equity investment space. With an ever-growing investment operations function, we are excited to bring a trainer on board to lead the design, development, and facilitation of our operations training programs. In this role, you’ll drive employee functional training and on-boarding programs, driving employee growth and team success.
What You'll Do:
- Develop, design, and facilitate training programs to build and develop Hometap’s investment operations teams – processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing
- Build trainings that address all parts of the investment lifecycle for each employee role and level
- Work in collaboration with department leads and managers to identify needs, and develop content to uplevel each function
- Plan and facilitate training classes on a wide variety of mortgage related topics
- Manage the tracking and documentation of employee participation in training
- Develop written and documented training materials to be used by the team
- Utilize a variety of training modalities (synchronous, asynchronous, remote, e-learning 1:1 coaching, etc.)
- Assesses the overall effectiveness of learning programs, updating and adjusting course materials and delivery methods as needed
- Build a train the trainer program to create a scalable culture of learning in operations
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues in mortgage and related industries
What You Bring:
- Minimum 3 years experience developing, delivering, and facilitating training materials and programs, ideally in a mortgage or lending environment
- Excellent communication skills, with great presentation ability, and comfort with technical/procedural writing
- Energetic, motivated, and eager to contribute to a fast-growing, high-performing team
- Experienced developing trainings and materials in a variety of mediums; experience with Articulate Rise and/or Lessonly a plus
- Able to interpret broad training goals to develop specific, actionable, and trackable training plans for the operations team
- Comfort with a fast-paced work environment, with a great ability to prioritize tasks and work across multiple stakeholders
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized
- Deep knowledge of the mortgage industry and operations functions (processing, underwriting, closing and servicing); familiar with regulations and tends in the space
