Investment Operations Specialist is responsible for processing technical brokerage and investment advisory account servicing requests, assisting Member Firms with developing solutions and recommendations for client needs, and providing excellent customer service to Member Firms and their clients. Working in a team environment, this position acts as middle-office support liaison between Wealth Solutions, Pershing, Charles Schwab, and vendors such as Envestnet.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Member Firms' trading and account servicing requests
  • Serve as point-of-contact for investment operations, Pershing servicing requests, and issue resolution for Member Firms
  • Assist Member Firms with developing solutions and recommendations for client needs
  • Pershing, LLC trade entry, trade violation review, and resolution of trade errors
  • Assist Member Firms with investment advisory needs for accounts held at Charles Schwab and Pershing Advisory Solutions (PAS) and liaise with service teams at the custodians
  • Troubleshoot time-sensitive trading issues, helping mitigate risk to Member Firms and Wealth Solutions
  • Assist Member Firms with use of Envestnet for investment advisory account billing, reporting, and portfolio management
  • Review of account paperwork for completeness and correct supporting documentation; request and work with Member Firms to obtain essential missing information
  • Manage the processing of account service requests such as opening of new accounts with Pershing, initiation of asset transfers, withdrawal requests and account updates
  • Assist with creating and updating operational procedures
  • Coordinate with other Wealth Solutions teams and internal departments to best serve Member Firms and ensure prompt elevation of matters as needed
  • Participate in team-specific and department-wide projects
  • Create and conduct training within Wealth Solutions and with Member Firms
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years progressively responsible related work experience, including trading and operations knowledge
  • Series 7 and 66, or 63 and 65, licenses or the ability to acquire licenses within 6 months
  • Experience with Pershing NetX360 and Envestnet ENV2 platforms preferred
  • Broad knowledge of Broker/Dealer and Investment Advisory practices and processes with an understanding of financial planning and estate planning topics
  • Ability to communicate and work efficiently in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines and effectively set priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of reliability
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Member Firms, custodians, vendors, and colleagues
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential, sensitive information
  • Demonstrated ability to make a positive contribution to teamwork within a business unit and organization
  • Ability to begin work by 6:00 a.m. on a rotating basis

  • Hybrid work environment offering a blend of virtual/work from home and onsite days designed to support flexibility
  • Normal office environment/desk assignment
  • Extensive use of PCs, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse
  • May require rare or infrequent travel
  • Extensive hands on work with documents, spreadsheets and other written documents
