About the job
The Red Hat Business Unit is looking for an Internal Auditor 4 to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing and facilitating remediation of continuous improvement efforts across the business by writing detailed reports on audit findings and communicating the results to management and providing recommendations on how to remediate findings, like through changing operations to address findings.
What you will do

  • Be responsible for collecting and analyzing data and internal audit process, procedures, and
  • documentation to detect control failures or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management
  • policies likeISO 27001, PCI, NIST 800-53, ITIL
  • Look for opportunities to improve audit process by preparing or customizing audit procedures to align with Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and other professional organization audit standards
  • Lead audit engagements and audit planning on assigned internal audits by determining the scope of the audit
  • Review information systems and recommend controls to ensure the reliability, integrity, and operating effectiveness through activities like conducting risk assessments to determine risks to be included in the annual audit plan
  • Communicate with management on regulatory issue if data security or privacy issues are identified, such as noncompliance with General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR)
  • Participate in security investigations and compliance reviews, as required by customer requirements or internal and external audits
  • Interview process owners regarding compliance with data security and privacy laws and regulations related to subject audited
  • Review hosting, security, and audit contract terms and ensure compliance to current audit policies and processes
  • Assist with analysis, documentation, and training of remediation actions in response to audit findings
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (8:00am to 5:00pm)


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in management information systems, accounting, information technology, business administration, or related field and 3+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • 3+ years of experience with PCI, FISMA, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, and SOX regulatory standards; information technology and security processes and standards, including defining operational IT service management processes using ITIL, defining audit and compliance requirements for IT department using COBIT, and reviewing organizations processes against ISO 27001 standards; three layer systems, network and cloud security auditing; audit project management from planning to reporting, and planning and managing project milestones; auditing fundamentals, applying the Institute Internal Auditing (IIA) Standards, developing risk-based audit work program, executing audit work program, reporting conclusion based on audit procedures performed, analyzing networking and IT management environments, and performing risk management analysis; and using data analytics to perform audits, assessing business processes for IT risks and opportunities for improvement and efficiencies, and identify solutions to address IT risks identified
