About the job

This position is needed to continue building and expanding Twilio’s Insider Risk program. As part of the Trust & Security organization, this growing team protects the business by deterring, detecting, analyzing, and investigating internal threats through monitoring of insider activity based on proven analytics and indicators of risk, such as malicious and accidental misuse of otherwise legitimate access to data from people inside the company.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Champion program management best practices (e.g. charter, strategy, and roadmap, and policy) for the program’s continued growth, to include effectiveness and recommendations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for leading/supporting all insider risk investigations
  • Communicate effectively with audiences at multiple levels, e.g., legal, privacy, employee relations, human resources, business leaders, and partner information technology and information security teams
  • Continue to leverage and enhance User Activity Monitoring (UAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and SIEM technology solutions to address risk as it relates to all aspects of Insider Threat risk
  • Perform data manipulation and analysis in order to draw conclusions and develop metrics
  • Leverage technology and tools to power automation of processes and tasks to enable growth at scale
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal customers to identify and facilitate solutions to increase the impact of the team's work, facilitate access to data, and navigate Program risks and challenges
  • Mentor and grow team members for their immediate and long-term careers
  • Cultivate an enterprise program that embeds insider risk processes into our daily operations

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of applied experience in Insider Risk domain or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience with a combination of technical investigations, networking and systems responsibilities
  • Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills wit the ability to self-organize, prioritize activities independently, create documentation and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills, writing skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem solving

 

Desired:

  • Experience in managing direct reports
  • Expertise with domain specific software and tools (e.g., UAM, DLP, SIEM, analytics)
  • Experience with forensics technology (e.g., EnCase, FTK Imager, etc)
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
  • An understanding of cloud communications and the unique challenges therein of security, availability, and critical dependencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology, or experience in HUMINT or counterintelligence, or equivalent


Location 

This role will be in-office or remote.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $127,960 - $201,080
  • Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
