Cloud Release Engineer: provision and configure servers with mandated infrastructure components while following industry best practices. The right candidate will have both on-prem and cloud release experience. What You'll Do

  • Automate software builds and release configurations in the cloud.
  • Design, Implement and manage work-flows to automate the release and upgrade process for applications in lower Test and Production environments.
  • Troubleshoot build and deployment issues, and facilitate resolution.
  • Work with cross functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ensure service uptimes, response times, and other KPIs are met.
  • Assist in designing and delivering resilient systems and configurations
  • Document systems, processes, incidents, and changes.
  • Support infrastructure systems

What experience you need

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT experience
  • 3 to 5 years experience as a Release Engineer
  • Must be familiar with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Must also have previous and/or current on-prem experience
  • Experience with development/programming languages (Python, Ruby, PowerShell, YAML, JSON, Shell)
  • Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft System Center stack (Virtual Machine Manager, Windows Azure Pack, Service Provider Foundation) experience.
  • Knowledge of source code management, continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions (GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins)

What could set you apart

  • Cloud certification is preferred.
  • Familiar with the following configuration management toolsets (Chef, Ansible, Puppet)
