Job Description
The Global Infrastructure Operations is an Organization that is responsible for hosting, managing and maintaining the operational stability of our Company's Infrastructure worldwide. The Virtualization department within GIO focusses on design, engineering and provide support for citrix based solutions on VMware platform for applications that are accessed globally by our Company's users that are spread demographically across the globe. The citrix solutions provide standardization and ease of managing versions of applications centrally (by region, country, site) instead of deploying individually on client machines. Currently about 100's of applications deployed on 1500+ citrix platforms that encompass about 20,000+ users worldwide. Being in the business of Pharmacy and healthcare, If the users cannot access some of these applications, this could potentially have compliance impact or local authority regulatory violation that can lead to an unquantifiable risk including potential loss of life or reputation.
Service Delivery/Management Specialist position for this department requires to be able to execute the below tasks and have the minimum required skills and experience as outlined.
Job tasks include:
• Lead global projects focused on small operational engineering and operations related work.
• Work as member of the managed services team of Citrix and VMware.
• Ensure team's effective partnership with all IT colleagues across various business areas.
• Directly support Managed Services oversight for Server Infrastructure Services.
• Be a change management steward for the region.
• Assist in steering Major Incident resolutions globally and in the region.
• Interact with country manager reviewing Network and Unified Communication services.
Main Technology Skills - Windows Systems Administration, Virtualization and Citrix
Minimum Qualifications:
· Undergraduate Degree or equivalent with relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Math.
· 3+ years relevant IT Systems Administration experience in Server Infrastructure
· 3+ years Server Services Midrange Systems Admin - Virtualization ( vPAR v6), HPVM, Windows Systems Administration , Windows Virtualization (Vcenter), XenApp.
· 2+ years in Managed Services oversight of Core Infrastructure.
· Good knowledge like installing and updating XenApp farms - versions 6.x, 7.x, solving technical issues, training users, managing Windows servers 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 and very good in troubleshooting and resolving issues in Citrix environment including Web Interface, application enumeration and performance issues, Printing and provisioning issues for internal and external clients. Good comprehension of local clients, also Citrix receiver / server to client redirection.
· Ability to work in a team environment to design, implement and support:
· Citrix 7.x environment.
· Citrix Access Gateway and Web Interface.
· Citrix Receiver.
· Citrix Storefront and Web Interface.
· PVS golden image design, testing and maintenance.
· App Layering.
· Demonstrate computer proficiency, knowledge of network, troubleshooting abilities, communication, teamwork, and time management. Experience in create technical documentations following company IQ/OQ policies, document installation of applications.
· Have a good understanding and accountable for installation and maintenance of enterprise level applications within the XenApp environments.
· Strong ITIL and process discipline to ensure compliance within the managed services framework and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
· Tactical, as well as strategic thinking and creative problem solving.
· Ability to effectively coach, counsel and partner with others.
· Escalate issues and concerns to upper management for review and action.
· Good negotiation and presentation skills.
· Fluent in English, in both oral and written communication.
Preferred :
· Automation of products and services. Good general Windows automation experience (e.g. scripting, Packer, SCOrch , Powershell.)
· General AWS experience, Citrix Saas experience would be a bonus.
