We are currently seeking a Information Systems Security Director to join our team in Washington, DC, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

Job Description:

• Provides direction and guidance for administration and results for multiple departments within a function of work area.
• Translates business plans into objectives and exercises latitude in managing operations.
• Accomplishes results through the efforts of subordinate managers / professional team members.

Job Duties:

• Works to define and refine information security and systems management policies and settings.
• Monitors and assesses vendor and 3rd party information security reports/lists.
• Evaluates new and emerging products, technologies and make recommendations to leadership concerning introduction of new technologies.
• Reviews, prioritizes and recommends information security improvements as they relate to the achievement of the client's business goals and objectives.
• Evaluates new and emerging products, technologies and make recommendations to leadership concerning introduction of new technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

• 12 -15 years relevant experience, to include reviewing, prioritizing and recommending information security improvement, and evaluating new and emerging products, technologies and making recommendations to leadership
• 5 - 7 years managerial/ leadership experience to include experience coaching and mentoring team members
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Secret security clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate degree preferred
• Advanced knowledge of risk management concepts
• Advanced knowledge of system and network technologies, infrastructure and protocols
• Advanced knowledge of network security pertaining to computer system environments
• Advanced knowledge of server and desktop configurations that protect unauthorized access and software invasion
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced presentation skills
• Advanced leadership skills
