Indirect Managed Print Services Strategy Manager

Description -

The iMPS (indirect Managed Print Services) Strategy Manager works with the iMPS team, the Supplies Centers of Excellence, and the ten geographic markets to build out long term plans including strategy framework, key business objectives, new business opportunities & portfolio gaps, return on investment analysis, and value proposition development.

  • Defines high level strategic framework (strategy summary)
  • Summarizes key business objectives and critical success factors
  • Identifies new business opportunities & portfolio gaps, including profit expansion & cost reduction opportunities
  • Articulates concise value propositions
  • Summarizes investments and return (ROI); delivers a consolidated vintage chart
  • Supports building long term forecast (LTF) with key targeted growth and share gain opportunities
  • Understands, articulates, and persuades the Canon Business Partnership to support growth opportunities
  • Sync with other partner business units & teams



Drives Strategic Planning into the organization

  • Drives long term vision for the Toner Supplies & Solutions organization with aspirational thinking
  • Operationalize strategic plans within the organization - focus on what it takes to be successful



Job Objectives

  • Coordinate long term planning across the team to identify business problems of the future and identify effective solutions to these problems.
  • Frame indirect MPS telemetry issues and create Installed Base and New Product Introduction improvement options.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Big Data, Smart Device Services, Sales, R&D, Managed Services, Commercial Organization Centers of Excellence, and Legal) to create an aligned action plan with executive support.
  • Create install base refresh acceleration plans that are actionable by the Commercial Organization Markets.
  • Accelerate sustainability as a competitive advantage by identifying or creating cross portfolio opportunities to create a cohesive value prop.
  • Identify evolving market opportunities for HP differentiation and growth.
  • Execute OEM conversion opportunities (Canada, EMEA, LLC, Transactional expansion)

  • A strong knowledge of Managed Print Services trends in the industry affect the strategy/direction of the product line/line of services or solutions.
  • Suggest strategy changes internally and with external partners.
  • Lead projects that involve cross- functional coordination to provide integrated products/services/ solutions.
  • Able to Improve processes affecting their workgroup and interfaces
  • Seen by sales teams as an expert in the products/services/solutions and regularly is called on to defend the benefits in front of customers or partners.



Knowledge and Skills:

  • 10 years experience in product marketing fundamentals.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • 3+ years of experience in Managed Print Services at HP or in the industry.
