support our government client's activities in the client's locations.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Incident Manager supports and manages the responsibilities of the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects.

  • Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned project.
  • Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned task(s), including contract and subcontractor management.
  • Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
  • May also perform high level technical services on assigned task(s).
  • Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.
  • Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.
  • Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
  • Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
  • Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Oversee day-to-day program Service Operations Incident Management activities for IT infrastructure services to include desktop computers, thin clients, servers, telephones, cabling, and other systems as the subject matter expert.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned: Installation and response efforts for the position requires lifting equipment that weighs 20-30 pounds, walking and standing, pushing and pulling;working around, under, and over desks, as well as professionalpersonal interactions with customers.
  • Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.
  • Screens, refers and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems.
  • Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software.
  • Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support.
  • Responsible for communicating with leadership: program teams, technical, engineering, vendor support, customers for situational awareness and expectation management.
  • Update incident management processes: supporting documentation from a strategic and tactical perspective to ensure alignment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and objectives are realized.
  • Establish continuous process improvement cycles where service delivery performance is reviewed, enhanced, and provide process improvement recommendations to integrate industry best practices.
  • Supervises assigned staff ,conducting periodic and annual performance reviews
  • Reviews weekly timecardsto ensure accurately.
  • Participates in special projects as required.



QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS and 5+ years of experience or a related technical discipline or work experience.

  • The Incident Manager provides a total system perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies, and requirements of hardware and software components.
  • Is knowledgeable in life cycle support, including maintenance, administration and management.
  • Creates, drafts, and views program documentation, generates formal review documentation, and participates in system and program reviews.
  • Participates in formal and informal reviews to determine quality.
  • Must be able to track project studies, plans, action items, multiple projects and requests for changes, adds, and moves, as well as the associated tasking to various work centers, etc.
  • Must have strong and proven written and verbal communications skills, as well as strong customer service and customer interfacing skills.
  • Critical attention to detail and sense of organizational skills a must
  • Ensures coordination and information flow between programs within the organization.



Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI and Polygraph.
