About the job
The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Applications team is looking for a Hyperion System Administrator to join us. In this role, you will serve as a system owner and technical expert for Oracle Hyperion EPM on-premise systems and you'll be responsible for the Hyperion application infrastructure. This will entail application administration, configuration, patching, backup, recovery, and maintenance of Hyperion systems and offerings. You will also be responsible for performance tuning, troubleshooting, development, data loads, user training, system support, and enhancements of the Hyperion toolset. As a Hyperion System Administrator, you'll need to have a proven ability to understand complex problems and provide explanations and solutions that are sound and clearly communicated. You'll also need to have great communication skills and a global customer service focus. The position requires on-call and off-hours support. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Hyperion applications focusing on Account Reconciliation Manager (ARM), Financial Close Manager (FCM), and FDMEE
  • Install or patch application technology stack
  • Coordinate Oracle database patching with the DBA team as well as Windows system patching with the ISO team; test all patches
  • Provide alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and Hyperion suite features and functionalities
  • Ensure that production environment stability and performance are up to par and meet service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Expertly troubleshoot performance-related issues
  • Debug FDMEE and FCM and ARM issues
  • Manage the backups for Hyperion application objects
  • Apply your expertise in life cycle management for production promotions, backups, and non-production refreshes
  • Perfor system monitoring for all the environments and month-end close support
  • Document configuration and application changes
  • Provide timely response and resolution of emergency production questions, issues, and defects


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience with Hyperion as an on-premise system administrator (versions 11.2.x or 11.1.2.4)
  • 1+ years of experience with Oracle EBS
  • 1+ years of experience with Windows batch scripting
  • Solid understanding of Hyperion integrations, including development, configuration, management
  • Solid understanding of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office offerings
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Curiosity, solid initiative, and ability to work without direct supervision
  • Organization and prioritization skills; ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical design
  • Good analytical and debugging skills
  • Experience creating functional and technical documentation
