**This position a FullTime (40hr a week) role, second shift
What You’ll Be Doing
- Recommend equipment shutdown for major overhauls, plan sequence of operation and methods to be used when making repairs, replacement and/or mechanical alterations to comply with manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Commission, check, and calibrate systems and equipment after installation and overhaul. This includes adjusting control systems, air balancing and making complete test runs to achieve operational efficiency.
- Operates and repairs energy management computer-controlled systems and electric/pneumatic control systems.
- Coordinate equipment shutdowns. Organize trades in larger jobs, plan sequence of operation and method to be used when making repairs, replacements, and mechanical alterations. Ensure all customer needs are met for shutdown.
- Maintain and Repair hydronic pumping and plumbing systems for heating, cooling, and water make-up systems. Install and modify process piping for HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Assists in construction projects. Performs and checks work from blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, verbal, and written instructions.
- Coordinate air conditioning, heating and refrigeration repairs and installations with contractors
- Follow government regulations by the Environmental Protection Agency, Air Resources Board, and the South Coast Air Quality Management District. This includes recovering, recycling, and reclaiming of refrigerants, and controlling the emissions of gas boilers. Maintain records for Aerospace equipment as required by the government agencies.
- Provide general Plumbing support.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Typically, 5 years of experience
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- Current working knowledge of Building Automation Systems
- Experience with computers/strong computer skills
- Must be available after hours and weekends and assists other trades as required
- Must possess valid California driver license
- Experience with quickly troubleshooting problem
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

- Associates Degree from an accredited program in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or formal training acquired through technical, vocational training.

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and teleconference.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may visit locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces and may be exposed to seasonal elements.
- Intermittent travel to gain access to work areas and buildings.
- Requires lifting, bending, crawling, and climbing a ladder.
- Possible exposure to chemical and biological hazards.
- May be required to work in cramped, tight, and/or high places.
