Run Networks provides managed IT services in the Omaha and Lincoln area. Our goal is to manage networks efficiently and effectively through preventative maintenance while providing consistent help desk services to our clients. This candidate will be involved in support and daily maintenance of managed machines.

Requirements

  • Must be motivated, and willing to continue learning path as needed
  • Proficiency with Windows desktop operating systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Troubleshooting skills with network and applications
  • Associates degree in Server Administration or Desktop Support or related field preferred

Preferred Knowledge Set

  • Must have a good phone presence, and a good first impression
  • Must be motivated, and willing to continue learning path as needed
  • Proficiency with Windows desktop operating systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • General knowledge of Windows Server systems
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP topologies, IP addresses and troubleshooting methods

Core Responsibilities

This position has two roles. The first is network management and maintenance. We perform regular maintenance tasks, monitoring of servers and other devices. This position may have some evening and weekend tasks as needed. The second role is end user support split across phone and on-site. This task varies, and covers an array of software applications as needed. We have a library of automation scripts and procedures that this candidate will use and contribute to.

Additional Information

  • Must have verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English
  • Must be able to assist and coordinate with users of all knowledge levels
  • Must possess dependable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Compensation based on experience

Work conditions

  • This position requires frequent lifting, sitting, standing, and reaching
  • Work hours 40 per week with on-call rotation
  • Start Date: Negotiable
  • No recruiters or staffing agencies, please
