Summary
As our Head of Risk and Risk Operations, you will build, lead and manage all aspects of Risk here at Divvy Homes. You have a great analytical mind with strong business acumen and experience in risk-based products. Reporting to our COO, the Head of Risk & Risk Operations will measure risk, define our risk appetite framework and manage the operational implementation of risk policy, e.g. applicant underwriting, internal risk models, and selection and integration of third-party risk products. You see the big picture of the nuances and details behind the numbers and help executives set the long-term strategy. As our thought leader in Risk, you understand risk deeply, are willing to get into the details and understand the operational and financial drivers involved. You have a solid understanding in SQL and like playing with huge data sets, distilling insights and ways of thinking about the future.
What you'll do:
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive risk management capabilities – building foundational risk tools, services, and enterprise risk culture
- Drive product innovation by improving product approval rates within risk tolerances
- Primary risk liaison for capital markets, investors, and Board of Directors
- Establish strong credit risk management platform reliant on data science and readiness planning
- Focus on risk infrastructure to drive decision effectiveness – implementing next generation decision platform integrating risk data ecosystem, decision engine toolset, and rapid test-and-learn strategy framework protect and enable the business
- Manage customer acquisition & portfolio management credit policiesImproving and maintaining company credit policy to determine how to underwrite applicants
- Identifying areas of need related to fraud risk and implementing third party data solutions to help us combat application fraud
What you'll need:
- 7-10 years directly related experience of Risk and Risk operations
- 2+ years of managing teams
- Risk operations management, with demonstrated leadership progression and experience
- Experience supporting risk and/or compliance related activities in a financial services operating environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, finance or related field or equivalent experience
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, customer support, compliance, partnerships team and other Divvy teams
- Ability to create a vision and translate it into detailed and prioritized plans
- Strong communication skills across a variety of audiences and ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
We are a remote company, so this and all roles are remote friendly. We have offices in SF and Denver to use as you would like, if you are in those areas.
