The Head of Professional Services will provide leadership and vision to grow and develop a top-tier consulting and professional services organization to support go to market strategies for Bloomberg Industry Group solutions. Responsible for guiding the philosophy, strategy, design, and engagement practices which drives transformation and innovation in how Bloomberg Industry Group solutions are implemented, elevating our customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements strategic and operational plans to accommodate company growth objectives ensuring capabilities (people, tools, methodologies, and processes) are aligned with optimal delivery of high value add implementation and integration services and solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Promotes and maintains policies, controls, and best practices which advocate sound business discipline and inspire exceptional team performance.
  • Provides effective day-to-day leadership, management, planning, capacity forecasting, assessment and allocation of implementation resources.
  • Measures and analyzes key performance indicators such as resource utilization, revenue, costs and margin metrics.
  • Endeavors to continually innovate the portfolio of implementation, integration, and education services that drive value for our customers, evolve ahead of changes in business conditions, to strategically scale our offerings and drive growth in solution sales.
  • Proactively engages with the Sales Teams leadership to ensure alignment and integration of pre- and post-sales strategies into the sales model.
  • Collaborates with Product Management and Executive leadership to develop a cohesive strategy to ensure alignment of professional services to Bloomberg Industry Group's product and solutions strategy, product roadmap and new product introduction.
  • Develops long-term strategic relationships with key customers, industry partners, external subcontractors and system integration resources.
  • Proactively supports Sales Managers and Solution Consultants to develop strong, positive cross organizational relationships with customer stakeholders to identify additional needs through the implementation life-cycle or sales cycle, develop recommendations and provide insight to customers for additional value-add solutions.
  • Maintains deep knowledge of product features, product benefits, product roadmaps, relevant industry best practices and competitive trends.
  • Performs post-implementation meetings with internal stakeholders to channel and relay customer feedback to cultivate an environment of continuous learning, development, and engagement.
  • Mentors and supports the ongoing development of professional service team resources to achieve higher levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Embraces an entrepreneurial spirit and perspective to all internal and external interactions.
  • Leads special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree of higher in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance and Accounting, Tax or other related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years' relevant experience within the software or technology industry, or a business environment comparable to Bloomberg Industry Group.
  • A minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in a professional services organization, preferably for a software, technology, or consulting firm within the corporate enterprise space.
  • Experience with Tax & Accounting software solutions a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and financial (P&L) skills / metric driven.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing customer-facing implementations or consulting projects with documentation supporting results.
  • Strong management and leadership skills with a demonstrated track record of effectively leading a team, coordinating cross functionally balancing the needs of the customer with the needs of the organization, in a fast-paced environment, meeting multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong project management and team building skills.
  • Experience leading the scoping activities of large scale, complex technology implementation projects.
  • Flexibility for overnight travel, travel to customer locations as needed, and Bloomberg Industry Group meetings as required (up to 25%).
