About the role
We're looking for a transformational and experienced Head of Community to deeply engage Miro's 40M+ million users.

Reporting to the CMO, the Head of Community, will build and lead community programs including customer, partner, professional services, and channel communities. You'll create a cohesive community vision for Miro and lead all aspects of execution of community strategy. Your team will source and amplify user generated content, host events that range from intimate to tentpole, create content and videos, empower ambassadors, and engage with partners -- all with a focus on growing engagement and delivering value for each community member.
This position requires excellent leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and user-obsessed community builder who is willing to spend time working directly with Miro users, experts, and ambassadors.
They will partner with the Heads of Product, Growth, and Partnerships to continually expand Miro's community vision. They will also serve as a member of Miro's marketing leadership team.
What you'll do

  • Develop and implement a user-centric community strategy
  • Be one of the faces & voices representing the Miro community
  • Recruit, empower, inspire, and mentor Miro's community team
  • Lead a diverse range of community initiatives: social, email, user groups, webinars, events, templates, forums
  • Build a culture that encourages experimentation and iteration for continuous improvement
  • Discover and engage creators to surface the best content on our platforms and build out our own hub for community creation and interaction.
  • Share insights and work cross-functionally with the team to influence product development, marketing campaigns, and more.
  • Be a Miro power user & advocate.
  • Attend and speak at online and in-person events around the world.


What you'll need

  • 10+ years marketing experience and 5+ years of community experience.
  • Experience building and leading a vibrant large-scale community, preferably for a software or technology organization.
  • A toolkit of tactics and principles to connect with users and build experiences that drive strong community
  • Experience working in a high growth organization with cross-functional teams, preferably distributed teams.
  • You know how to conduct experiments and analyze critical metrics
  • Experience creating videos, hosting webinars, and speaking on camera
  • You have interest or expertise in design. You possess creative convictions and a vision for the final result.
  • Experienced in events as a Community lever and business driver
  • You take a data driven approach to problem solving.
