General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Ground Systems Sales Operations Manager . The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Looking for an experienced sales operations manager to accelerate growth across the DoD, Fed/Civ and International markets. The primary function of this position is to implement and manage the infrastructure that supports a group of BD and Sales professionals in delivering over $500M in orders annually. The successful candidate will have hands-on knowledge of CRM tools, be able to produce data-driven insights into improving the sales process and be able to work directly with the sales team to increase their effectiveness.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
The overall responsibility of this position is to support the BD and Sales team in achieving their goals.

Target salary range: USD $106,350.00/Yr. - USD $115,100.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.

- Plan, implement and manage a customer relationship management (CRM) capability to support the sales organization.
- Provide analysis incorporating to support future revenue forecasts and revenue timeline considerations.
- Assist sales organization in providing technical and administrative product information.
- Prepares the distribution of accounts to the Sales Representatives/Account Managers and updates the automated tracking system
- Develop and maintains current knowledge of markets, products, and buying practices required to effectively compete in the assigned territory
- Coordinates with Sales Representatives/Account Managers to provide sales documentation and satisfy customer requirements.
- Provides customer support regarding order delivery and quality management.
- Plan and implement projects based on department objectives that support the sales organization
PREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Significant prior experience with Microsoft CRM (or related) tools in pipeline implementation and operation
- Demonstrated capability to perform analysis of CRM data to support development of sales strategies, territories and quotas.
- Demonstrated understanding of sales operations, to include inside and outbound sales.
- Position requires a bachelor's degree in business management, business administration, or 13 years of experience in Government Acquisition and business development and sales in the commercial, Department of Defense and Federal Agencies.
- Candidates must also possess excellent written/verbal communications skills, presentation skills, organizational time management skills, team building skills, and display a strong sales presence.
- Knowledge of DoD ordering processes and use of IDIQ vehicles for purchasing
