Ground Segment Technical Support
Description
SAIC is rapidly growing a System Integration team to deliver a new, complex space and ground system in support of National Security. This exciting and innovative program is leveraging best practices in system engineering, via Digital Engineering processes and technology, and in agile software development, via DevSecOps development.
We are looking for creative talent who ready to take on the challenge of integrating major space systems and associated ground elements from concept into an operational enterprise. Roles and responsibilities to include:
- Supports the Ground Segment PM in the overall project management functions.
- Supports an integrated management team that includes software development, acquisition, systems engineering, oversight of subcontractor work activities
- Serve as a Technical SME for the PM in the various aspects of the Ground Segment development.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and fifteen years or more experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Current, active TS clearance
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Top Secret clearance, TS/SCI preferred
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or related business field
- 14+ years professional experience with focus on managing projects and engineering teams in excess of 100 technical staff and multiple subcontractors
- Knowledge of Ground Systems for space-based missions
- Requires strong written and verbal presentation skills including formal and informal presentation of work and assessments to critical audience
- Outstanding customer relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive successful execution of tasks
- Experience with Earned Value Management
- Experience with DevSecOps and Agile software development methodologies
