POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLYThe purpose of this position is to administratively support the Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery division, within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Pediatric Neonatology Division within the Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), in its efforts to strengthen and grow biomedical research. This person would organize the status of all of the research projects and staff working on them within the division. These duties would include ensuring that staff complete research project intake forms, performing brief literature searches, keeping track of research personnel (coordinators, residents, students) assigned to projects, and determining PI preference as to the point of contact for each study. This person would collaborate with the CHRI , Orthopaedics and Neonatology for funding opportunities. They would assist in the assembly of, and liaison with Sponsored Programs to assist in timely grant submissions. Duties would also include financial and administrative tasks involving sponsored projects within the UNMC system (this would involve working with SPA) including the initial proposal development process through the project closeout for assigned faculty.Omaha, NE
