This role offers the following Work Appropriately strategy:
- This is a Hybrid position within our IT Organization. The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to the innovation center to which they are assigned as their primary GM facility. Relocation may be provided.
Location: Warren, MI or Austin, TX or Atlanta, GA
The GM Defense IT Process Development Analyst will be responsible for establishing process and procedure to help organize IT related efforts, ensure consistent repeatable results and drive continuous improvement. The individual in this role will be required to identify areas where process development or improvement is needed and will be equipped to balance approaches that provide improved results without over-burdening teams with administrative requirements.
The strongest candidate is critical thinker who will bring a blend of professional experiences demonstrating their applied skillset to bring order and structure to enterprise level day to day challenges. For this GM position, we expect you to function independently for day to day tasks. You will be required to work with numerous teams and balance competing requests.
Additional Description
Responsibilities:
- Gain understanding of the governments CMMC framework to maintain, improve or expand on newly developed procedures aimed at assuring cybersecurity compliance
- Work in partnership with the GMD ISSM Compliance Lead to develop process related report requirements and coordinate implementation through the GMD IT Reporting Lead
- Partner with the GMD IT Reporting Lead to design and implement procedures or workflows needed to support adoption of new financial accounting requirements across the IT organization
- Design workflows, procedures or templates that will equip IT Teams with standardized process to improve team effectiveness or ease of working with GMD IT
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous process improvement and maturity
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Understanding of IT functions, workflows, and processes
- Experience with developing process/procedure from scratch
- Ability to organize disparate or ambiguous information into clear and easy to follow formats, templates or forms
- Strategic thinker, ability to understand how parts impact the whole
- Strong analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
- Strong written/verbal communication skills including presentation of process and workflows (PowerPoint or Visio)
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Manage and prioritize tasks across multiple activities in parallel
- Ability to interact and influence cross functionally
- Ability to communicate with people in various levels
- Additional skills include experience developing and delivering training materials
