About the Role
We are looking to a Global Trade Compliance Officer to be the subject matter expert on all things related to import/export. You will ensure Reibus is in compliance with international trade regulations by creating and implementing internal policies to ensure a company-wide compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements, custom regulations and trade laws. You will also oversee trade compliance training across departments and create detailed document record-keeping and reporting methods. What will you be doing?

  • Consult the business: Serve as the trade compliance subject matter expert, understanding the risks of the dynamic import / export landscape. Lead in educating Reibus employees in all aspects of global trade compliance.
  • Own the compliance plan : Develop the roadmap for managing all compliance and regulatory requirements related to the import and global movement of industrial materials .
  • Manage risk: Prevent and mitigate damages related to customs laws in the countries where Reibus operates.
  • Track and report: Ensure global recordkeeping and reporting requirements are satisfied. Maintain a schedule of necessary documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Partner across teams: Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customs brokers, legal, the Reibus sales team and 3PL firms.
  • Propose solutions: P roactive ly identify potential problems and mak e recommendations to senior management to ensure compliance is aligned with business objectives .

  • Problem solving: Ability to understand and navigate the complexities of global import / export regulation and develop recommendations in response to urgent business priorities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and 5+ years of experience managing a global trade compliance program .
  • Strong understanding of US and foreign customs regulations related to the importation of foreign goods, particularly for industrial materials and other items subject to antidumping and countervailing duties .
  • Familiarity with ACE, HTS, export/import valuatio n.
  • Licensed US Customs Broker a plus .
