Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Global Sourcing, the Category Manager, IT will be responsible for developing, executing and implementing effective procurement strategies across Software & Hardware categories. The role is part of a Global Sourcing team, in the Novelis Procurement Organization, that sources, negotiates, implements, and manages supply agreements, covering primarily indirect spend categories. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing sourcing strategies and lead procurement efforts across Software & Hardware categories.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure the ongoing management of performance, quality, cost, and contractual commitments.
• Partner effectively with stakeholders to become a trusted business partner.
• Provide strategic direction, communicate goals, practices and processes of the Global Sourcing organization with respective business partners.
• Support the Novelis IT function in all aspects of supplier management including but not limited to supplier development and management, contract negotiation, performance management and reporting, supplier reviews, project management, etc.
• Establish effective stakeholder engagement models to enable the IT organization to accomplish its goals and objectives.
• Responsible for the strategic sourcing and negotiations of assigned products, equipment and services associated with Information Technology categories.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and suppliers to identify cost reduction opportunities, identify major risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Influence others and drive results in highly matrix environment.
• Other required duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of procurement experience; IT procurement strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing and/or category management associated with indirect categories.
• Communicate effectively (in writing and verbally) and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong project management and strategic sourcing experience.
• Strong data analytics skills.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and manage projects to efficiently and effectively deliver results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPM or CPSM, Green Belt certification is a 'nice to have' but not required.

• High energy/impact, self-driven individual.
• Ability to drive results by using data to evaluate options.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Detail orientation with vision and strategy.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to navigate through ambiguities with minimal direction.
