Why You'll Love Cisco
We change the World; you will become passionate about your employer and the brand you represent. Everything is converging on the Internet, making networked connections more meaningful than ever before in our lives. Our employees' groundbreaking ideas impact everything. Here, that means we take creative ideas from the drawing board to dynamic solutions that have real world impact. You'll collaborate with Cisco leaders, partner with mentors, and develop incredible relationships with colleagues who share your interest in connecting the unconnected. You'll be part a team that cares about its customers, enjoys having fun, and you'll take part in changing the lives of those in our local communities. Come prepared to be encouraged and inspired.
What You'll Do
As a Global Service Creation Specialist, you will work on the following key activities:
• Bring strategic insights on market conditions, partner preferences, and customer demands related to as-a-service and managed services into work related to offer development work.
• Demonstrate a 'customer obsession' and a 'partner obsession' when identifying and developing new offers in concert with the broader offer team.
• Plan, design and execute pilot programs and innovation work with select key partners to co-create differentiated managed and as-a-service offers based on Cisco's technologies and Cisco+ platform, then scaling to broader audiences.
• Coordinate with and across cross-functional teams to move partner offers through a full lifecycle engagement model, spanning from pilot to development to scale to curation.
• Directly author core sales enablement materials related to these offers including decision maker presentations, playbooks covering opportunity setting through service creation and initial go-to-market readiness.
• Develop project proposals and detailed work plans and often present these to senior leaders.
• Lead service creation engagements with Cisco's Cisco+ partners during the lighthouse phase to validate market fit and resonance of key engagement material.
• Engage directly with targeted partners to collate and manage opportunity lists from inquiry to deal closure.
• Train others to lead such service creation engagements for scale.
• Build relationships and influence internal stakeholders to foster effective working relations.
Who You'll Work With
Join a close-knit, fast moving, and highly adaptable team with expertise in managed services, as-a-service, product management, business analysis, and channel partner go-to-market. Our team charter is to drive business growth by enabling provider partners to offer managed services and as-a-service based on Cisco solutions. We work across the organization to form coalitions that solve big problems and address new opportunities. As part of Cisco, we help to shape strategic facets of the technology portfolio and business models.
In this role, you will influence the portfolio of offers for Cisco+, Cisco's emerging as-a-Service portfolio. Play a critical role in determining Cisco's global partner go-to-market strategy, which you will then execute in partnership with several geographic leads. Partner types for these strategic offers include both Integrators and Providers. The objectives for the role are to increase Cisco's market share and partner adoption of related Cisco technologies with a current focus on data center and SASE offerings. You'll bring our expertise in these technical domains, the business needs of enterprises, product and solution management, and sales and partner enablement, and engagement execution into the work.
Responsible for collecting partner feedback on offerings, their respective needs, and formulating growth strategies and programs. You will help the partners build out relevant service offerings, working with the Cisco teams that support the partners, and you will work with sales acceleration teams to grow end-customer adoption of the offers by enabling partners' sales organizations.
Who You Are
Extensive experience bringing new products and services to market through complex organizations. You are deeply knowledgeable about the partner community and ecosystem from integrator through provider and managed service providers. You have direct experience working for or with managed services organizations. You understand the core tools that run these businesses and the process required to bring new services to market. You've seen successful - and not so successful services, and you have a good sense from this experience on how to build new ones for success. You also understand the target customer audiences - how they approach technology decisions, what they expect from a user experience, the personas of decision makers within these businesses, and how to influence them.
You are a doer. Someone who breaks through obstacles and finds a productive path forward where it isn't immediately obvious. When you set an objective, you are relentless. You are also a collaborative, structured thinker that invites colleagues into your process early and often-relishing opportunities to work side by side. You welcome the opportunity to meet new people and learn from others' viewpoints. You are a diplomat and can lead in a cross-functional environment where there is often no imperative to follow you.
In a time-sensitive, fluid working environment you are nimble and maintain positivity during changes of direction. Big complex problems and opportunities don't scare you - you live to organize and simplify them.
Continuously assess new trends to strengthen your offers' market positions and determine how to evolve their strategic roadmap, making Cisco more relevant to our managed services provider partners and making our managed service provider partners more relevant to the customers they serve.
Requirements
Knowledge and experience in consumption, as-a-service and managed offers in the marketplace.
Demonstrated experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams, including sales and business development, product management, marketing, legal, and executives.
Understanding of contractual negotiations in relation to product delivery as a service
Familiarity in data center, networking, security, and IoT and different service delivery models including on-prem and cloud.
Proficiency in product or solution management, including business case development, competitive analysis, pricing, value proposition, and commercial models.
Skilled in go-to-market strategy, customer experience design, customer success, and/or market research.
Excellent presentation creation and delivery abilities in addition to more broad sales enablement development experience.
Travel will vary with return to normal business from COVID, expect up to 25% travel long term. This is a global role, supporting Cisco stakeholders and partners around the world; flexibility for meetings outside of local business hours will be required.
Why Cisco
#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.
We embrace digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we're "old" (36 years strong) and only about hardware, but we're also a software company. And a security company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do - you can't put us in a box!
But "Digital Transformation" is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)
Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, give our egos a break, and give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, bold steps, and take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a dedication to equality for all, there is no moving forward.
So, you have colorful hair? Don't care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That's cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us!
#WeAreCisco
We recognize that diverse teams make the strongest teams, and we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.
