Position Summary Objectives

Global Project Management (PM) Leader

The Global PM Leader has overall accountability for all Projects on a major JLL account. Key responsibilities include a) client relationship management, b) staffing management for the PM and MAC organizations, including Variable resources, c) delivery of project results and MAC results, d) implement a robust capital infrastructure planning process, and e) achievement of the annual P&L targets. Other key responsibilities include ensuring risk and compliance management in projects, achieving KPIs and other PM metrics, and continuing to bring best practices and innovations to the account.

Current scale of the account includes ~250 Projects and $50-100M budget, with pipeline projects across multiple regions. Projects include both Office and Manufacturing and Specialty projects.

A key responsibility in this position is to help guide the client on what a world class Projects organization and program looks like, including consulting and advising various client affiliate companies on their project opportunities via discovery phase consulting.

The PM Leader will have several direct reports as part of the dedicated account team, as well as future indirect reports in other regions. In addition, PM Lead is responsible for ensuring end to end variable project delivery is consistent and aligns with the client's objectives.

The PM Leader will be responsible to closely manage a P&L and strive for improvement year to year. The PM Leader will also be responsible to ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and provides insights on improving service levels and optimizing costs. Will report to the Global Account Executive.

Strategic Objectives

Growth Assumes a lead role in the development and execution of strategy for a Team. Contributes to the development of the business unit's overall strategy. Represents Business unit in local, regional, and national industry/public forums and with clients as a senior representative of the Firm. Demonstrates highly visible commitment to creating a "one-firm first" by utilizing cross-discipline teams to meet client needs. Demonstrates high energy for the business, ability to energize others, and the willingness to take risks and make tough decisions

Values Communicates relevant company information to employees within Team on a timely basis and conveys expectations of team members. Daily interactions with employees and clients maintaining positive relations and favorable impressions. Verbal and written communications are clear, concise and professional in appearance. Influences clients to obtain new work. Celebrates the achievements of team members.

Brand Assumes responsibility for developing and implementing a marketing strategy (including pricing) for a Team. Assists in developing marketing strategy for the Business unit. Leads Team in identifying and sourcing opportunities to meet future business development targets. Assists in sourcing new business for other Business units within the Firm. Able to market all available products and service offerings. Contributes to the development of new product and service delivery ideas for the business unit and the Firm.

ClientLead relationship manager for multiple strategic alliance client relationships. Provides critical source of insight and counsel for other professionals regarding key client issues. Active in the management of multi-discipline client relationships. Oversees and advises the development of real estate strategies for selected clients. Develops business unit's service delivery strategy. Assists in developing Firm's service delivery strategy.

People Directly responsible for attracting, retaining, and managing a Team of people (i.e., normally 4 or more) who are involved with a specific set of clients.

Digital Assumes a lead role in managing teams or client assignments that involve projects having a high degree of technical complexity. Demonstrates skills that enable the individual to successfully address issues of varying complexity with respect to client management, real estate or other specialized areas. Expectation to be proficient with CRM tools & digital JLL interfaces.

Position Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for overall project management delivery on account.
  • Support Client with Capital Plan development, Program Scope and assigning the proper resources.
  • Assist with developing project budgets including hard costs and soft costs and firm knowledge of construction cost/benefit analysis.
  • Provide technical support; project budgeting and scheduling including Client's goals & objectives, site improvements, entitlements & permits, consultant selection; design team management, schedule creation and management, contractor selection and management, financial management including cash flows, anticipated cost reports and monthly reports.
  • Assemble and manage required teams of consultants and contractors.
  • Maintain client relationships and manage conflict resolution
  • Provide appropriate level of on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are being met.
  • Develop relationships with consultants/contractors/vendors and evaluate their performance.
  • Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk.
  • Establish and refinement of best practices of standards of excellence.
  • Assist in training and developing JLL team members in the skills and understanding of firm and client procedures, methodology and practices expected for a successful project implementation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all PDS technology as required for assigned projects.
  • Ensure accurate management of all accounts receivables to maintain a level not to exceed planned working capital charge as set by corporate finance.
  • Comply with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice

  • Gaining comprehensive understanding of client's long-term business goals

  • Attend industry events to stay up to date with market trends
  • Maintaining a presence in industry organizations and other external outlets


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (SKA)

  • 7-10 years of practical experience in project administration preferred
  • Experience leading and running numerous projects simultaneously
  • Ability to develop and cultivate business relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • A strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling and process as they relate to corporate real estate
  • Ability to lead individuals across a national platform to deliver superior results in client service
  • Experience working with Landlords, developers and institutional owners
  • Ability to manage several medium and large ground-up development projects, major re-development projects, & corporate interiors projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional manner and computer literacy
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
  • Skill and interest in business development a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Project software


Minimum Required Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management strongly preferred.
