The NIKE, Inc. Government and Public Affairs (GPA) function is responsible for inspiring and driving public policy globally to accelerate NIKE, Inc.'s business priorities. In partnership with the Social and Community Impact (SCI) function, the team ensures an integrated approach to engaging with government officials, international and local stakeholders, and community organizations to leverage the power of sport to accelerate business growth and create shared value for society through the powerful intersection of business, public policy and social impact.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Global Manager of Public Policy and Engagement to help accelerate strategies across the function by working with the Senior Director of Public Policy and Engagement. You will build out and drive day-to-day deliverables for the team, while supporting high impact engagement that leverages the GPA and SCI portfolios! This role will help build and manage tools and processes that enable our global teams to actively engage internally and externally to provide public policy insights and positions that advance business goals.

As part of Nike's GPA team, you'll play a critical role to supporting NIKE, Inc.'s policy objectives and work with several teams across the enterprise, including but not limited to Social & Community Impact, Global Communications, Corporate Governance, Sustainability as well as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You'll be working with the Senior Director of Public Policy and Engagement and global teammates in a fast-moving and highly-dynamic environment to:

- Partner with internal and external teams to build and manage public policy tools and processes that help align team strategies, support global planning and advance partner engagement

- Work closing with the Senior Director of Public Policy & Engagement to lead external partnerships and vendors that help power the team's management cadence and partner engagement - such as developing a team newsletter, regular briefings, employee events and collateral materials.

- Identify and implement key engagement strategies to inspire and drive the GPA agenda, internally and externally

- Partner with global teams to build and manage global GPA Roadmap of key moments across the year, and serve as a thought partner on how to use these moments to advance Nike priorities.

- Support executive-led partner engagement strategies, such as helping develop thought leadership publications, briefings for external engagements, and manage systems as well as content for driving consistent engagement across the year.

- Identify, evaluate and help implement priority business engagements, public events and/or conferences for VP, Chief Public Policy & Social Impact Officer, in partnership with Communications.

- Work closely with Senior Director of Public Policy & Engagement to manage GPA-led disclosure processes as per Nike Board of Directors Policy on Public Policy and Political Activity.

- Support management reporting cadence that enables information sharing across global teams and leadership

- Coordinate research and analytical support to support planning and decision-making

- Aide in priority projects and supports team operations, as needed

WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience in corporate/public sector or both or equivalent combination of education and experience. Business, International Relations and/or Public Affairs background with sound understanding of corporate strategy, communications and engagement experience in consumer/retail sectors is a plus.

- Mature, independent and consistent track record of working effectively across teams.

- Able to work tight deadlines, adaptable to uncertain and unpredictable situations/environment and shifting internal and external landscapes.

- Resourceful and creative, with a love for trying new things, failing fast and sharing the takeaways.

- Focused approach to delivering exceptional work on time,

- Passion for learning, and patience for what it takes to deliver high quality work

- Experience working across diverse portfolios, able to organize, prioritize and follow through on multiple priorities balanced with immediate needs and longer-term goals.

- Apply professionalism to navigating complex organization dynamics, using discretion, tact and high confidentiality at all times.
