Job Responsibilities

Viasat's greatest assets are our employees, and through our Relocation and Immigration programs we work hard to provide exceptional support to all our stakeholders across the company. With a small to medium number of active cases, and working within our People & Culture (P&C) Talent Operations team, in the role as our Immigration Program Administrator you will:

  • Manage our global immigration program, including sponsorship of nonimmigrant and immigrant cases, you will strategically execute on our current process and implement improvements reflecting our company growth.
  • Advise and educate stakeholders on the most sophisticated and high-level matters, in collaboration with our Relocation Manager, to develop strategies to mitigate risk and provide timely solutions.
  • Lead specialized projects with a strategic focus on policy, vendor and performance management, partner education and consultation/advising along with implementing, maintaining, and reporting on immigration policy matters.
  • Ensure that our vendors and internal partners provide a high-quality experience to employees, managers, and business customers.
  • Partner with legal immigration vendor to provide advice and direction to business leaders, Talent Acquisition and P&C partners.
  • Develop and deliver training and briefings for Talent Acquisition, P&C, employees, and leaders to remain ahead of trends.
  • Apply data, to guide decision-making and provide proactive, creative solutions to business issues with people implications.
  • Build and maintain policies and processes.
  • Work with internal and external partners to continuously refine process, understand and manage spend
  • Create and provide reporting to all stakeholders on cost, case data, and budget
  • Conduct reoccurring business reviews for current cases and future cases
  • Run program projects


Requirements

  • 5+ years of corporate immigration/global mobility experience, working with outside immigration counsel, leading all aspects of US and global immigration matters
  • Sophisticated solid understanding of various visas and work permits in the US and globally, e.g. H-1B, Processing/managing PERM cases, L-1, EU Blue card, Skilled Worker Visas, etc.
  • Experienced in crafting scalable and efficient programs for global immigration and delivering education and 3rd party vendor strategies to implement them.
  • Impeccable communication skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal to include coaching, change management, influence, and formal presentations.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships.
  • Keen interest in our business and ability to learn quickly.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding and learning about the latest industry trends and the ability to translate that into people strategy options.
  • Exposure to Global HR teams and challenges.

The starting salary for this position is $89,900 annually, but an offered salary may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
