Job Description
What you will be doing:

  • The role requires executive leadership and seasoned program management and strategic competencies. This position will manage and lead cross-functional teams and executives in delivery of the largest and most complex strategic programs (comprised of multiple projects and workstreams) in the company's project portfolio, to include projects such as: Product Delivery, business model changes, major system and infrastructure implementations and integrations, complex process re-engineering, complicated client conversions and implementations, and new product commercialization, platform or distribution implementations.
  • The role will significantly communicate with senior executive (C-level and 1-downs common) on a regular basis, and must possess strong facilitation, communication, influence negotiation skills in order to drive the company to deliver transformational change initiatives.
  • The role incorporates superior relationship management, team building, executive interface, and leadership competencies, working in concert across cross-functional teams including business unit, executive management, finance, sales, marketing, product management, technology, operations, training, human resources, communications, legal/compliance, and risk management. The primary goal of this Project leader is to ensure that resources are fully optimized and aligned to meet Company strategic objectives, and to drive a vision and lead team members towards the accomplishment of project goals.
  • Role will include supervision and direction of direct reports and non-directs who contribute efforts to the Project, including other Project Managers at a manager level or higher, client representatives, SMEs across the organization, executives, technical professionals, consultants, and/or resources assisting with projects or processes.
  • Builds a Global Enterprise Delivery consulting team and strategy to effectively execute business plan and roadmaps.
  • Develops consulting offerings to address market opportunities.
  • Manages key FIS channel relationships such as sales, relationship management, product management, business unit management and others ensuring continued collaboration to drive results for Practice.
  • Ensures Global Enterprise Delivery Practice provides industry thought leadership.
  • Responsible for profit and loss of consulting practice including forecasting and managing to revenue and expense targets and communicating business metrics to senior management.
  • Ensures generated revenue meets or exceeds plan for FIS Consulting Services Business.
  • Ensures consulting engagements provide excellent client satisfaction and client loyalty.
  • Manages consulting personnel including engagement staffing, staff performance/evaluations, effective communication, career planning and succession planning.
  • Provides resources with right expertise to meet business needs and manage external relationships creating a flexible staffing alternative for peak demand times.
  • Ensures effective utilization of resources on billable projects, asset development, sales support and thought leadership.
  • Collaborates with other Consulting Practice Managers to ensure right resources are working on right work to optimize goals for the entire division based on priorities and demand generated.
  • Attracts and retains talent to meet business needs for practice.
  • Provides direct sales support throughout entire sales cycle working closely with sales and account management to create and close opportunities including proposal/statement of work development, negotiating pricing, project planning and giving prospect presentations.
  • Maintains quality client relationships to gain referrals for new clients.
  • Nurtures relationships, defines consulting engagements to support relationship needs and sells the initiative.
  • Willing to travel 20% (or as needed).


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or law or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Typically requires ten years management experience in financial services industry or consulting.
  • Leadership, management, organizational, and team building skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Speaks and writes fluently.
  • Listening skills and ability to ensure open and candid two-way communication.
  • Ability to expresses both facts and opinions clearly and concisely.
