As the Director of Communications Editorial & Experiences for Nike's Global Operations Team (GOT), you will be a member of the GOT Communications Leadership team, responsible for managing a team of communications professionals, partnering with multiple global and geography communication teams, and supporting Nike executives on a variety of platforms to drive a narrative led offense.

Additionally, you will lead the execution the communications for Workplace Design & Connectivity programs, Business Diversity & Inclusion programs as well.
  • As part of the GOT Communications leadership team we develop and craft a narrative led communications strategy and scalable operating model for a distributed team of skilled communicators.
  • Develop an editorial programming strategy including All Hands, video-based series as well as hybrid employee programming strategies.
  • Strategically align opportunities between NIKE's Corporate Narrative and GOT wide editorial programming to develop and implement a communications roadmap for Nike, Inc. Chief Operating Officer.
  • Collaborate with Consumer Creation Digital & Portfolio Employee Communications Leads as well as the Global Employee Communications team to ensure representation for meaningful GOT storytelling opportunities.
  • Develop your team to drive standard methodology for GOT Communications messaging collaboration platforms, as well as monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Lead collaborator alignment and partner with Corporate Reputation to drive tactical execution for issues across the globe.
  • Support global corporate communications events as needed and where appropriate.
  • Supervise timelines and budgets. Handle internal and external approval processes where appropriate.
This role sits on our Global Operations and Technology team and reports into the VP, Global Operations and Technology Communications. This role also works closely with the COO. In addition, you will partner with the CCDP, Employee Communications and Consumer Creation teams to develop content that is impactful, compelling, and relevant to all audiences.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
  • 10+ years professional experience in high profile corporate communications or corporate communications and/ or public relations roles supporting globally branded organizations.
  • Leadership skills including high-profile communications, planning, budgeting, and creative solutions with experience in developing proactive, communications strategies.
  • An agile approach with the ability to build strong, collaborative and meaningful relationships working across individuals, teams, and executives.
  • Curious learner who can thrive in the grey space with an innovative, creative problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to grow, develop and handle talent with different levels of experience and across different geographies. Ability to develop optimized organizational structures to reflect evolving strategic needs.
  • Proven experience crafting high-impact content for a variety of platforms - including a hybrid workforce environment.
  • Experience communicating to and working with senior executives to provide strategic counsel, clearly share ideas, successfully handle differing points of view while strengthening relationships.
  • Confirmed ability to communicate plans across a sophisticated matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures.
  • Ability to Travel, 10-15%
  • Knowledge of supply chain and technology a plus!
  • Experience working on high-profile consumer brands.
  • Successful experience working optimally at senior-level brand management and ability to provide mentorship and direction to peers.
