Job Overview

TE has an opportunity for a Manager - Technical manufacturing and program management with strong business, technical and leadership capabilities in systematizing innovative technology projects in a leading electrical component manufacturing company. The ideal candidate shall be an expert to organize and charter gated progressions on families of projects, collaborate among factories globally, leaders of functional departments, support technical and engineering staff team members on project alignment, and assist team members and leaders from inception of strategic innovations to full execution and duplication globally. Including partner management on large project collaborations.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high performing organization in a new global role, reporting directly to the Sr Director of Manufacturing, as part of the TE Data and Devices Operations Team. This role will be a focal point of Manufacturing program management on current and next generation manufacturing technologies. This role will help support technology strategy development, and to charter the realization of new manufacturing solutions and platforms at TE manufacturing sites worldwide.

The candidate shall exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness. Applies and/or develops highly advanced principals and practices in management science and/or industrial and systems engineering. Have multiple areas of expertise and broad knowledge of industry. Viewed as an expert internally and externally within the field. Interacts effectively with customers at all levels.

Possessing a strong work ethic, a global mind-set, and a can-do attitude, the successful candidate will have sophisticated interpersonal skills in building relationships and communicating effectively. The ideal candidate will be substantive in their innovative project business management discipline with high emotional intelligence to understand subtlety and grasp details and nuances.

1. Lead manufacturing project sourcing and transition, allowing for the seamless transition of new technologies to TE facilities.
2. Leading, supporting and organizing technical programs in Manufacturing Technology with optimized business value created and ranked.
3. Categorize portfolio of technology programs according to strategic roadmaps that maximize production throughput, yields, quality and Gross margin.
4. Charter together with the business units to define and to realize standardized manufacturing platforms by working along side the MPDE and PME organizations.
5. Assist in evaluation on what technologies should be sourced internally or externally based on solid operation research and business science.
6. Organize, assist, and measure technical project implementations and the economic results.

What your background should look like:

  1. Experience with demonstrated track record of successfully and effectively collaborated change in manufacturing through technological improvements.
  2. Experience in Engineering Integration and Technology Operations in a Center of Excellence type of matrix multi-national working structure.
  3. Strong global industrial manufacturing experiences with time spent working and living in multiple countries.
  4. Willingness to travel for more than 50%.
  5. Bachelor's degree in engineering plus an MBA degree with 10 or more years of experience.
  6. Experience in working with production sites globally, such as China, Mexico, South Korea, etc.
  7. Experience in leading an automation team which delivers automation solutions for production.
  8. Experience in managing a team/organization with P&L responsibilities.
  9. PMP and/or PgMP certification is a plus

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $134,100 - $201,100(subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
